Anyone hear about the Oriole's young pitcher Steve Bechler passing away? The news is reporting he reported with dizziness yesterday at camp, was taken to a hospital and spent the night in ICU, only to be pronounced dead this morning. This really is a sad thing. If it truly is heat exhaustion, I guess MLB may very well be facing a law suit, as was done in the NFL when the same circumstances were presented a couple years ago.

This really is sad. 23 and dead, at least he died doing what he loved though?

Anyway, I didn't know who he was, but that's sad. My condolences to the Orioles and his family. :(

According to CNN and ESPN it is Steve Bechler. He made is major league debut last year against the Anaheim Angels.

that was very tragic. his wife is 7 months pregnant with thier first child to boot.

They say before his untimely death, he had a fever of 108!!!

I read in the newspaper that his wife might've gave him the wrong pills to take & they're saying she's the cause of his death. His family is also about to sue the Orioles cause they say the Orioles management should've done a better job pertaining to his health.
