If so do you have a list of this weeks shows?

Did they take HotC off already? It's not listed on my tv screen listings or on the tv guide site, though it still is listed at the nick at nite site.

They have not updated the listings, it is still on. Whatever nick-at-nite.com says is much true than TVGuide.com

Maybe if they had more episodes, showing 2 episodes a day when they only have 10 wouldnt work at all. Every 5 days they would go back to the first episode LOL

I'm not. The only Russia episode I've seen was the one where they are touring the country and they find out that their opponents in the competition are the Russian kids. I didn't see the one before it (I don't know if there is one, but it seems like there was) or the one after it (and I'm dying to know how it ends!).

There was a Russia episode before the Russia episodes where they were not in Russia but they were preparing for their trip, I think. Hope that makes sense, I'm going on memory from 10 years ago.

By the way, good news for me, someone is taping the eps for me, so hopefully, after the whole series is done, I will finally get to see them. It will be awhile, obviously, but I'm very excited!

They should just continue showing them all in order, it's weird that they would do that. I don't get the station here, do they always do that? It makes it harder for the person I am having tape all the eps for me, cause I have to tell him to stop and start.

Did you guys see The Big Sqeeze this morning? It might be one of their funniest episodes. But can anyone tell me what Dennis says when Mr. Moore hands out the papers with the remarks on them instead of grades and Arvid says "Oh, oh! I can't find my grade!"? Dennis says something after that but I can't seem to make it out. (I laughed so hard when Eric announced what his 'grade' was!!)

realchic1999
03-19-2003, 03:28 PM
4:30 now? You have got to be kidding me. It's hard enough staying up until 4:00 to see the show.

Speaking of episode questions: What is the deal with the subplot with Dennis and Jawaharlal in the episode "Crimes of the Heart" (where Sarah deliberately gets bad grades to keep her sister from getting the brunt of their father's discipline). It had to deal with t-shirts. Totally missed that part...the volume on my TV was screwy that day.

warsaw dreams
03-19-2003, 05:13 PM
Dennis was selling bootleg Fillmore t-shirts and was using Jawaharlal's locker to store them in.

realchic1999
03-19-2003, 05:19 PM
I remember Jawy (okay, I'm getting too lazy to type and I think it's a cute nickname) having problems with his locker and Dennis helping him....is that a case of "I'll do for you what you'll do for me?" Probably.

warsaw dreams
03-19-2003, 06:48 PM
Actually, Jawy was having trouble opening his locker, so Dennis got it open and said "I'm good with numbers" then Jawy said "How about the number 40 as in the 40 dollars you owe me?". Dennis says "How'd you like to get that back with interest?" Jawy replies "That was the deal". Then Dr. Samuels starts to come their way so Dennis quickly shoves the box of t-shirts in Jawy's locker.

I have that episode on tape and I think Dennis says something like, Oh, just look for the big flashing F.
I noticed they also cut out the part about where Darlene drove a car through a house and added the part where Maria said Simone should go because she froze up when they were against Bronx Science.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I popped in my tape so I could quote the scene for you. When the IHP were arguing Sarah said, "Dr. Samuels would never think of unloading his perfect little princess, would he?'
Darlene responds, I can't help it if I'm perfect!
Maria says, Oh, come on! What about that car you stole?
Darlene says, I didn't steal a car, the neighbors left their key in the car and I moved it for them.
Maria says, Into the living room!
I said sorry! Darlene responded.
I was surprised they took that little dialogue out. It was pretty funny.

Yeah, that was a funny episode. They cut a pretty big chunk out of it too where Arvids mice were running out the door and Sarah and Dennis were freaking out.
I wonder what kind of gesture the hand made?

It does seem like new episodes could be coming, because in the past month or two, they are constantly skipping around, and now all the episodes they have are basically airing in order. Maybe that's a good sign.

You are correct! They must have converted more episodes, because there are now new episodes through June 2! So it seems the first 40 will be airing in order! Along with the random ones (48, 49, 51, 56, and 107). I edited the posts so now the schedule is correct with the new episodes airing from May 19 to June 2!

Wow! You are our savior! Thank you so much for announcing the new episodes! I won't have to stay up late to see the same mess again anymore (if only for a few weeks!). More Jawaharlal (barely, since as the seasons progressed, he got less and less lines) in action! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

And we pray that they do (air new ones, that is)!

Now they have a week long marathon of Sanford and Son instead of HotC. What up with that?

Pav,

Do they have the rights to every episode?

All I can say is that it's jive what they did to "HOTC." Why would they air a marathon that late, anyway?

Well, now they're airing episodes I haven't seen so I'm happy!

Now they've gone and spoiled it again with other tv show marathons. When is HotC gonna get their marathon?

Nick at Nite has worked my last nerve. I just checked the schedule to see what other "HOTC" episodes are airing for the week...just to find out that my fears were right --- NaN is taking "HOTC" off the air throughout the week for this "Viewer Appreciation Summer" mess. Weekends of "HOTC" are not enough. I am not havin' it anymore. NaN is full of crap.

warsaw dreams

How come NaN seems to always give HotC the short end of the stick?

realchic1999
07-08-2003, 03:58 PM
I don't know. I have never seen a show get that much poor treatment when they become a part of NaN's lineup like this (and Perfect Strangers, as well). I don't remember any advertisement for it when it became part of the lineup (I heard it was on NaN through message boards like this), it never gets advertised now, and yes, it is always being pre-empted for marathons ("Cliff's Jazz Club," "Viewer Appreciation Summer," "Sanford and Son Marathon," etc.). They didn't even gain rights to most of the episodes (and there has to be about 120 out there!). What the h***?

I repeat...never in my whole life has a show in syndication gotten such poor treatment by a network. And I have a horrible gut feeling that NaN will pull the plug on it any day now. That will suck a lot if they do.

How do you think we feel about how facts of life gets treated.
We are always on the lookout because the show usually pops up without warning & is run for very short periods of time.

Yeah, and I was just at the "Family Ties" board, and they feel the same as you, realchick---gettin' the same exact treatment.

Blecch! I just saw the schedule.:(

I really think this show is going to be pulled from the lineup. "Roseanne" is being added to it come Fall (it is already in syndication on two channels where I live), and you know they're not going to get rid of one of the "Cosby" eps for it.

Bye-bye, Head of the Class. You were loved and you'll truly be missed.

The next episode to air seems to be Poltergeist III. It will be on early Sunday morning. It's the one where Janice tries to tell them there is a spirit wreaking havoc in the classroom. This should be good. I don't think I've seen that one since it was first on!

They aired that one in May I believe. Anyway, Head of the Class' last airing will be on September 20 on Nick@Nite, starting Sept 21 it is gone. Perfect Strangers will remain, and move to 5 a.m. For the full Nick@Nite September schedule, check out the General Sitcoms board.

I expect news of PS, FT, and Wings leaving N@N any day now. Why? Because N@N is always giving the shaft to shows I like (FOL and HOTC are good examples).

I'd love to live in one of the metered Nielsen homes. Ratings for the last vestiges of good programming on some networks (Mama's Family on TBS, PS/FT/HOTC/Wings on N@N, Blockbusters/Card Sharks/Press Your Luck on GSN, etc.) woudl go up overnight, and since, with any luck I'd be taking a meter away from someone who watched crap like Reality shows and Cosby, ratings for those would go down.

I'm a very bitter person re: this. Mainly because an overly flawed sampling of people determine the fate of all in TV. If Family X goes and Visits Grandma, does that mean however many people that person represents per network all go and visit their grandma? I don't think so. Go around and ask people what they think, I mean really think, of a certain amount of shows. A Mix of Sitcoms, Game/Reality Shows, Dramas, etc. I bet money that a lot actually agree with the opinions of those here.

Wow. I wasn't expecting for Nick at Nite to air more new episodes, they must've have converted more episodes to syndicated cuts and digital tapes so they could squeeze a few more new episodes on their schedule before it leaves in September 21st.

Actually, Head of the Class still dosen't leave until September....you misread the post. This just means that the return of HOTC to the daily sched has been pushed up from late this month to late Tue/early Wed

...Someone up there likes me. They really like me.

Plus, since I have the Nick West feed on my Dish, and since I live in the Central timezone, and since...

Anyway, it's in the perfect slot for me watching before going to, ironically, school.

Until September, at least.

Re: This whole thing, and I'll say it again on the main boards in a few min.

I'm glad that someone with some sense got a Nielsen box. Maybe ratings for Cosby will dip, they'll rearrange the sched, and HOTC will stay....

Nah, that's asking too much.

Folks, just this morning, I was watching the show on the West feed, and my exact thoughts were that I wish this was airing more often before It went off in september, so that I could get more on tape.

I swear.....

Saturday, August 16 (Early Sunday) there is a new episode as well:
4:30AM #45 Don't Play With Matches

Then on the 17th they start the reruns again, with the Moscow 2-parter.

This is probably wishful thinking...but I wonder after they repeat the usual Season 3 episodes if they're going to show a few new ones. (I was surprised they showed new Season 2 ones). I would kill to see the "Little Shop" episodes and get them on tape.
