View Full Version : Favorite dream sequences
DYNAMIC D 02-16-2003, 11:31 PM My favorite dream sequences:
Bobby's pool champion dream: Bobby (in tuxedo with "CHAMP" emblem) executes four magnificent trick shots perfectly (each followed by the famous "TA-DAAAAA!") for a Royal Albert Hall-like audience. He is showered with money at the end of the exhibition, but is awakened by Peter and Oliver, blowing his fortune.
Bobby and Millicent, to the love theme from "Romeo & Juliet". They really made a cute couple.
Peter's vase nightmare, where he cannot get the scene of the basketball making impact with Mom's favorite vase out of his head. Hilarious!
Elizabeth B. 03-01-2003, 11:33 PM One thing about one of the dream sequences that drives me nuts is in the "UFO" episode.
They show the UFO on the ground, with the letters, "UFO" on it. Well, the Kaplutians knew what kind of craft they flew, so why would they put a sign on their OWN craft that says "UFO?"
I know, I know....it's only make-believe, but it still drives me nuts!
hawaii five-o 09-24-2003, 07:23 PM I don't like the Jesse James dream sequence where the Bradys get shot.
BuddyHinton 07-29-2006, 04:56 PM The vase dream is by far the most memorable...

Yea,
Saying "bang bang" was the only let down in an episode that is absolutely brilliant on all other counts. This episode about kids and guns was years ahead of its time. "Bobby's Hero" is shattering and unforgetable and may be the best episode of the series.
They could have used an actual gun sound effect. But that might have tramatized kids too much. Barry said that the original plan was for Bobby to worship a skijacker. But the network thought it would be "too real."
Watching this episode makes you forget that this is supposed to be this fun-silly little sitcom.

Bachu 08-03-2006, 08:36 AM The contrast of the guy with the gun, the families ott dying and Bobby's very real reaction to it was fantastic I thought. It does sober you up from all the laughter.
The end of the Jesse James dream sequence could have been done with 'Jesse' having the whole family face him, since they were unarmed, with Bobby still watching as he was, then he pulls back the hammer, but we still don't see or hear him actually shoot. The rest of it's the same; Bobby pleading to not kill his family, then wakes up and finally realizes he chose a bad example for a hero.
BuddyHinton 08-05-2006, 10:19 AM So, Bobby had the most dreams? Jesse James, Joe Namath, Pool player, and the UFO? Right? Lets see if we can name all the dreams.......... Peter had the vase dream. Did the girls have any dreams? Can't remember right now.
scott_bolger2001 08-05-2006, 11:44 AM Marcia kept having the flashback where she got hit on the nose by the football
Billy K. 08-05-2006, 11:13 PM There was also another Bobby dream sequence in the episode "The Winner".
BuddyHinton 08-05-2006, 11:35 PM Hmmm... interesting, Bobby got the lions share of the dreams?
James 08-17-2006, 06:37 PM Did the girls have any dreams? Can't remember right now.
Marcia had a dream about her being married to her dentist, Dr. Stanley Vogel, in "Love and the Older Man."

No, it's not Unidentified Flying Object, it's the brand name of their spacecraft!
Smartboy 03-12-2010, 04:42 AM No, it's not Unidentified Flying Object, it's the brand name of their spacecraft!
In the first place, I have also thought of the ilogic of people calling their own spacecraft an "Unidentified Flying Object"! In the second place, I think that your response shows a great sense of humor! Good for you my friend!
