The only two shows I can think of when the characters outfits are the same in the opening credits and 1st episode of the new season is Three's Company and Sanford and Son. In Sanford and Son, Lamont and Fred wore the same clothes in the very first episode as the did in the opening credits. And Three's Company, I can only remember the start of the 4th season when Jack, Janet, and Chrissy wore the same outfits in the first episode of the 4th season as they did in the opening credits at the Santa Monica Pier. Anyone know of any other shows that did the same thing?

LOL! that's one heck of a squinter of a question there Soloman. I'd love to be able to answer it but I have no idea. I guess a 180% from that would be The Cosby Show. In the opening credits they did a variety of dance scenes to open each season. So there was no way that they would be wearing the same outfits for the opener or any other time.

Andy and Opie wear pretty much the same outfits in the opening as they do on the show.

This is what I mean, out of all the shows you looked at, where there any show when the characters wore the same outfit in the FIRST episode of a new TV season that they wore in the opening credits. If they wore the same outfits they wore in the opening credits, it would only be in the first episode of a new season.
