What is the deal with sitcoms when one season it has a baby and suddenly the next season that baby is 4 or 5 years old. I think is goes all the way back to Bewitched, and continued in the 80's with such shows as Family Ties and Growing Pains.

I also remember the Fresh Prince of Bellar made fun of themselfs when they did it.

Full House is rare expection when they let a baby grow naturally.

Lily on Step By Step was another example. After the season in which she was born, she was like five years old!

(She didn't fit the mold of the show. In fact, she made Cousin Oliver, the ever-popular Brady sharkjumper, look like one of the Bunch!)
