Am I the only one that hates this episode? *spitting with anger*

I hate it, too. I wish it weren't included in the syndication package. It was a ridiculous episode, Sherwood Schwartz's idea of being relevant with the times. There's even an Archie Bunker reference. Worst thing is, Schwartz finally sold the series twelve years later as TOGETHER WE STAND starring Elliott Gould. It lasted a couple of months.

I totally agree I couldn't stand that episode.

I don't hate this episode, it just doesn't fit in with the other Brady Bunch episodes.

This was a so-so episode but at times it got boring. I agree with the rest of you that this episode should have been excluded from The Brady Bunch package/series.

Don't care for it myself.

Actually, I usually don't like this kind of spin-off episode. If you want to introduce new characters for possible spin-off in an existing series that's fine, as long as you include some of the existing series characters as the main focus of the episode.

For instance: Introducing Mork from Ork on Happy Days. Yes, you had Robin Williams spotlighted. But you also had Ron Howard and Henry Winkler in prominent roles. And other HD characters in lesser evidence.

When the episode has virtually nothing to do with the actual series it's being presented through, it bugs me... a lot.

I would watch this episode 100 times before I would watch the fake grandparents episode 1 more time.

I really dislike the fake grandparents episode. It's in the same league as Kelly's Kids.

But I believe Kelly's Kids should be in the syndication package -- after all, it did air as part of "The Brady Bunch". And if it weren't in the package, we'd have all kinds of people complaining that the "lost" episode is never aired. :)

It's almost like one of my favorite episodes. I wish someone would create a website devoted to it.

Did anyone notice the white kid lookin' like Bobby Brady? That's because he's a Lookinland. Mike Lookinland's younger brother.

Supposedly this Sherwood Schwartz show finally made it the air in 1986!! In a different format called "Together We Stand", starring Elliot Gould. It lasted an entire season.

Weird, huh?

Muy weird.

Why didn't this spin-off happen after the Kelly Kids episode? (Hmm, must have been, people responded to it back then the same way we do now. ) It was bad, but I can watch it. And yes, I would definitely watch it 100 times more than the grandparents episode one more time.

Easy -- ABC wasn't interested in it and declined to pick it up.

Well of course they weren't interested. It wasn't too good.

This episode was on this morning. I kind of liked it. It would have made an interesting spin off, if the Kellys would have had Alice as their maid.

Yes both of these episodes stink. Also at the bottom of my list is the one where Greg and Marcia are both running for student council.

The feeling about this episode is similar to an episode of The Golden Girls that frequently turns up among "least favorite episodes" (the one featuring Rita Moreno as one of their next-door neighbors and her frustrations with her always-working husband and her daughter away at college... an early stab at "Empty Nest", maybe???). Anyway I guess it's because the focal point of these episodes is on undeveloped neighbor characters and the series' main stars are reduced to walk-on or supporting roles.

It was quite an implausible premise for an episode, but it was sort of interesting, I thought. Did Mike's little brother ever act in anything else? I don't remember seeing him in other shows as a guest star, but he was a pretty cute kid.

According to imdb.com he was in a few movies, including The Karate Kid as Chicken Boy.
