What was the reason for Nick-at-Nite putting Gilligan's Island @ a later time slot? Can anyone explain this decision to me?

I guess to give Facts of Life the full hour...I think the 9PM slot will be taken by Diff'rent Strokes next month...

I can watch the episodes anytime since I have all 98 on tape. I think maybe you should tape the episodes if you would like to see them everyday. Somtimes I do watch the show on TBS too.

I'm sorry about that sarcastic post a few paces above; let me give my take on the situation.

Gilligans quite frankly is so popular & I'm wagering that most people except for the little kids have seen it a million times. It gets to a point where over saturation of a show becomes counterproductive. In other words its been shown all the time on numerous networks.

Much like Brady Bunch it'll stay on the air. I believe that more shows that haven't been seen since the 80s will come on Nik. At one time it did have a "80s Sunday" planned then they scrapped it for now; now its Sunday Marathons I believe.

Older shows like Gilligans & I Love Lucy in my opinion belong on a vintage sitcom network. Can anybody think of one? Nik I think is going more to the kiddie shows/ They Constantly show cartoons & there decision to preempt Prime Time Programming on Fridays from 8:00 PM EST to 10:00 is easily explained but yet puzzling. Also in Prime Time the most popular sitcoms which right now is 3s Company, Diff'rent Strokes, All In the Family are being shown. Brady Bunch Facts of Life Jeffersons are holding on.

But let me repeat one more time IMO I believe that the older sitcoms should be on a vintage sitcom network that will show them in a dedicated fashion.

Being a college student, I'm in the rare group of people that WILL stay up until 3 in the morning watching/taping the episodes. I was hoping that it would all end in block party summer, but last I heard, they aren't going to have that this year. What time is it on on different stations? I guess it won't matter after much longer, I already have I think 93 or 94 of the 98 episodes that they made.
