View Full Version : Trying to identify a episode with Maude bu she wasn't in the Bunkers House TVFactFan 02-11-2003, 06:42 PM Does anyone know what AITF episode this is when Edith and Maude are talking on the phone. The only other time that Archie and Edith and Maude were together was when the Maude pilot appeared on All In The Family. And Archie and Edith never appeared in an episode of Maude during the show's run, and Maude never appeared in an episode of All In The Family again during the rest of its run. I wished that they did some more crossover episodes, but the one with Edith talking on the phone baffles me. Anyone else knows anything about this??? jon123 02-12-2003, 02:32 PM I remember Edith mentioning Maude a few times during one of her delightful stories but I don't remember talking to her on the phone after Maude began its series run. Maude was at her house on the phone talking to Edith and I wish i knew the episode. But it wasn't a guest appearance because she wasn't on the All In the Family Set. Just on the phone. mjr1001 02-14-2003, 01:28 AM They have a more detailed listing of the episodes with the complete casts listed (stars, co-stars, and guest stars). Try looking there - you might find the episode. I think there was a split-screen sequence with Edith talking to Maude on the phone in that one. I vaguely remember that episode. I vaguely remember that episode. exactly, it was a split screen sequence with Edith and Maude talking to each other o the phone. But Maude was not listed as a guest star in that episode because she wasn't on the AITF set. what do you mean MSN? I don't think it's no way to find this info out by looking at a episode guide because Maude was not listed as a guest star. AtlantaBravesFan29 02-14-2003, 10:09 AM Was it the episode Cousin Liz,where Edith finds out that her cousin Liz has died and finds out that she was a lesbian??? That might be the one. Haven't seen very many episodes from the 1977-1978 season, but I think that might be the episode you're talking about. jon123 02-14-2003, 01:53 PM I don't remember Maude being mentioned in the Cousin Liz episode. Maybe Liz was on Edith's mothers side on Maude was on her father's, or vice versa. Anyway, consistency in family trees was not AITF strong point (remember all the discrepencies in Archie's relatives). I just wish i knew what Maude and Edith were talking about on the phone. AITF & ABP ROCK!! 02-18-2003, 07:43 PM Was the scene on "All In The Family" or was it on "Maude". Because I remember in the AITF episode "Archie & Edith Alone", Edith was talking to Maude about her fight with Archie. TVFactFan 02-18-2003, 07:49 PM Originally posted by AITF & ABP ROCK!! Okay maybe it was ABP but by that time the Maude character didn;t exist anymore because Maude ended in April of 1978. ABP sarted in the fall of 78. So i'm not sure if that is the one. KayEn78 02-19-2003, 02:26 PM It was still named AITF in the fall of '78 (when Stephanie enters the Bunkers' lives). The show then became ABP in the fall of '79. -Kristi TVFactFan 02-19-2003, 05:51 PM Originally posted by KayEn78 It was still named AITF in the fall of '78 (when Stephanie enters the Bunkers' lives). There is no AITF episode by thename of Archie & Edith Alone KayEn78 02-19-2003, 07:13 PM Yep, there is an AITF called "Archie and Edith Alone." It came out in 1972 (part of the Second Season DVD--check Disc 2 or 3). It's the episode where Mike and Gloria go off to a commune for eight days leaving Archie and Edith alone. They don't know what to do with themselves while the kids are gone. They'll play a game of cards and get into a big fight. It's the episode where Archie says, "Edith, you ain't human!" :) -Kristi TVFactFan 02-19-2003, 07:43 PM Originally posted by KayEn78 Yep, there is an AITF called "Archie and Edith Alone." DumbassDiva 02-25-2004, 11:11 AM "Archie and Edith Alone" was the one where Mike and Gloria leave for a weekend visit to a commune, leaving Archie and Edith alone together (hence the name:D ).Archie and Edith fight because Archie calls her "Saint Edith" and says she's so goody-goody she's not human. Edith does discuss the fight on the phone, but if it's with Maude, they never show her as far as I remember. Ah,the mystery deepens.....:dizzy: |
