View Full Version : Foxnet...
Czas na Zywiec 02-11-2003, 06:37 PM Hey Pav...(Or anyone else who would know)...was there any specific reason why The Simspons was taken off of Foxnet on weekdays? The last time, to my knowledge, they played a Simpsons episode on a weekday was September, 10 2001. On the 11th, they had broadcasts of the tragedy (That's not what I'm blaming it on at all, so don't think I'm mad at the terrorist attacks) and a week later when they returned to regular programming but didn't include the Simpsons. Was there any particular reason why it went off the weekdays? Any answers from anyone would be much appreciated.
Chocoholic 02-11-2003, 11:00 PM My local FOX affiliate still airs it twice a day on weekdays, except when the Red Sux, um, Sox, are in session.
Brian Damage 02-12-2003, 02:38 PM My Fox affiliate airs it twice a dayas well.
Czas na Zywiec 02-12-2003, 09:16 PM Yea, you guys have the local Fox affiliate because you live closer to big cities. Since I live out here in CO, there's no local Fox (Denver is the closest city, but it's 5 hours away) so we receive the cable Fox, which they play shows like Trapper John MD, Knightrider, Mr. Belvedere, etc., but they don't play the Simpsons on weekdays. I rememebr when I was still in Chicago, it playes 3 times a day............now I haven't seen it forever. I miss the show.

Central Perk 02-19-2003, 04:17 PM My local UPN station airs it weekdays at 6:00pm. The Simpsons and King of the Hill used to air on FOX but I think FOX wanted to bring in some other shows, so now UPN airs them.
It airs twice during the day and once at night here.
Czas na Zywiec 03-26-2003, 09:28 PM My cable company finally got rid of Foxnet and now we're switched over to the regular Fox....and I get The Simpsons once again! It airs only once, but hey, it's better than nothing. Goodbye Foxnet, I won't miss you.

 Looks like I spoke too soon. It's back to Foxnet so no more Simpsons until Sunday night. This makes me so mad.
EDIT --- I don't know what's going on. Apparently were switched back over to the local Fox. I guess they're still screwing around with the service and are deciding what to do. Oh well, I'll keep my mouth shut so I don't jinx anything, but as of now, I can watch it again. Sorry for the posts. :p
DetectiveGriffin 03-30-2003, 09:01 PM LOL,
I want your foxnet!!! Give it to me and I'll give you one of my channels.
I do think there really needs to be a simpsons channel - 24 h of sweet simpsons programming. There are enough eps, and a lot of us could flip there a couple times a day and not get bored of it. :)
well, ok, maybe if they had 12 hrs of simpsons a day OR they could just replace MASH on FX. (although a combo MASH - Simpsons channel would be an even better idea)

Too late. :p It's official, Foxnet is gone and I couldn't be happier! There's nothing good on that channel anyway, well at least nothing that interests me. But yes, for the first time in 18 months, I get to see The Simspons on a daily basis once again! I grew up in Chicago watching the Simpsons 3 times a day, so I was angry to see that Foxnet dropped it.
I can see it going to FX though soon. I mean, how many episodes of Mash can one handle? lol I'm not bashing the show, but it seems every time I change channels, it's ALWAYS on.
DetectiveGriffin 03-31-2003, 10:51 AM Fox seems to get into a lot of trouble underselling its own shows to FX. Im wondering if we'll see that many fox shows there in the future.
