ok, almost every day this week ny computer is making "chirping like noises" They are really weird, and REALLY loud...no program I have does this, if anyone has any help id appreicate it...this is so weird....im waiting for a spaceship to beam me up or something

Marisa had that same problem and said that she fixed it, but I haven't talked to her in a while. Youll have to wait til the weekend until she posts again. But I'm sure she could help.

Mine doesnt do a chirping noise it does a weird bonking noise and everyone I've talked to that has a compaq has the same noise anyways what kind of computer do you have it its a compaq theres the reason why

I Have a Compaq and i never hear any weird noises....

Mine used to do that all the time. It was the hard drive crashing.. at first it only did it every so often then it started doing it more and more until my computer wouldn't turn on and I had to get a new hard drive. This may not be the case for you.. and I don't wanna worry you, but I'd get someone who knows something about computers to check it out and figure out what the problem is before it gets worse.

Mine used to do that when it booted up. Sometimes it still does. *shrugs*

thanks for the info everyone, I really appreciate it. I don't have a compaq- It is a clone I beleive..it was freaking me out at first im glad other people have had this prob

Thanks, I wouldnt doubt that if that was it...several other computers have died on me, and i have like 7462392304523 pictures and videos saved on it...so i might go take it somewhere

My computer makes a whirring sound in the harddrive. Sometimes it whirs so much, I think it will explode. But, of course, it doesn't. All computers seem to have some sort of problem from time to time.

and Chad is your compaq still new? because mine didnt do anything like that when it was New but now its UGGGHHH give your compaq a few years it will annoy you to TRUST ME
