Whatever happened to the Fademonium weekends that TV Land used to have? Anyone know for sure? How often do they usually have them?
Thanks,
Jen

View Full Version : Fademonium & Marathon weekends... What happened to them? Agent 13 02-10-2003, 05:23 PM Whatever happened to the Fademonium weekends that TV Land used to have? Anyone know for sure? How often do they usually have them? Thanks, Jen dawsongirl 02-10-2003, 06:15 PM They were discontinued about a year ago. Brian Damage 02-10-2003, 06:55 PM Originally posted by dawsongirl They were discontinued about a year ago. What a shame, I really enjoyed that. Brian 02-10-2003, 08:30 PM As much as I liked them, they got boring after a while. By the time it was Saturday afternoon or night, I would watch something else. They were only good for taping stuff, IMO. Ian 02-10-2003, 08:34 PM They were cool. It got annoying when they did a fandemonium for a show more than once. Adamantium 02-11-2003, 12:50 AM I liked them at first. But I just wanted TV Land to rerun their "Chico and the Man" marathon, so I could tape every episode, and they never did. Some of their shows they would show almost every month and other shows, they never had. Maybe if they would even the shows out more. DarleneIllyria 02-11-2003, 01:49 AM Yeah, those Fandemoniums were pretty cool. I never could watch the whole 48 hours, but I would watch what I could. I would try my best to tape my favorite shows that they had marathons for, but I did miss a few shows. Impressions 02-11-2003, 05:38 PM I really liked the fandimonium marathons, although I never could watch them 48 hours straight, LOL. After awhile, if there wasn't a show that you weren't to fond that played 48 hours, there was nothing else to watch on TV Land besides the show that was playing, so it got a little tiresome. They were good for watching though, you had the choice to watch your favorite shows anytime you wanted within the 48 hour period. But too much of a good thing isn't, you can get sick of watching one show for a few hours or just a couple episodes. Atleast they have some reference like it today, they have been doing marathons for show anniversaries, they are something like fandimonium marathons but instead of 48 hours they have been doing the anniversary years that have been used for the amount of hours in the marathon. I hope they do more of these in the future. dawsongirl 02-11-2003, 06:42 PM The longest I ever watched was about a total of 30 hours between Saturday and Sunday for the Adam-12 marathon. Brett Ferino 02-12-2003, 04:21 PM The first time that I saw TVL's now-defunct Fandemonium Weekend 48 Hour Marathons was when I was down South on vacation. They had the Beaver marathon on the first weekend of February of Y2K.. |
