PAUL BECOMES COOL WITH THE KIDS WHEN A PARTY HE WAS
SUPPOSED TO SUPERVISE GETS OUT OF CONTROL BECAUSE HE
FELL ASLEEP, ON “8 SIMPLE RULES FOR DATING MY TEENAGE
DAUGHTER”

“Cool Parent” -- When Paul has to pick up Bridget and
Kerry from a party that’s been broken up by the police
-- and “supervised” by co-worker Tommy (Larry Miller)
-- Paul chastises his friend and unwittingly
volunteers to host the next one. But when Paul falls
asleep during the party and it gets out of control
too, the kids think of him as a “cool parent,” while
the neighborhood parents think he’s just as unreliable
as Tommy, on “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage
Daughter,” TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET),
on the ABC Television Network.

“8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” stars
John Ritter as Paul Hennessy, Katey Sagal as Cate
Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy
Davidson as Kerry Hennessy and Martin Spanjers as
Rory Hennessy.

Guest starring are Larry Miller as Tommy, Billy Aaron
Brown as Kyle, Nicole Mansour as Rachel Sharpe, Cole
Williams as Anthony, Romy Walthall as Diane Sharp,
Michael Burger as Anthony’s father, Howard Akers as
Andre, Nick Lashaway as boy no. 1 and Jake Dinwiddie
as boy no. 2.

“Cool Parent” was written by Paul Ciancarelli & David
DiPietro and directed by James Widdoes.

”8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” is
broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected
HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.

A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.

sounds interesting......but hows 8 SImple Rules' ratings going? 3rd in its timeslot? is that still good?

It's doing just fine. Tuesdays at 8pm is a competitve hour. Once American Idol is done with, it will be back to first in viewers 18-49 for the timeslot and second in the timeslot overall behind JAG. Do not worry, this show will be lasting this season FOR SURE.
