Why do we need a board for that? Ditto on what OP said.

I just think it "clutters" the CC board up....even though I do enjoy them....

There should just be 1 random post at a time cuz sometimes 849 ppl start em at the same time and thats what clutters up the board. If theres only 1 theres no problem. They get closed after like 4000 posts neway so i dont see what the big deal is.

I wish they wouldn't ever be closed LOl....but I guess it'd eventually fill up and make the board crash..

I agree. It also pushes other topics down which I absolutely hate. I think people who want random threads should be given their own board for random threads rather than having just about all of the topics in chit-chat pushed down.

I don't really mind those random threads. I get on here later and if we didn't have the random threads, I'd prob. have to look at 2 pages worth of posts. No, I don't look at every post. Those random threads make it easier for me to browse through the topics I want to look at.

Also, we might lose people for the regular Chit Chat board. A lot of people post in those random threads. If they get their own random board, we might lose a lot of the CC regulars. jmo

Um, how about a chat room instead of "random" posts?

A Chat Room would make Chit Chat obsolete, there would never be any posts because you could just Chat room insted.
Random posts dont bother me, Chit Chat is for posting Random Stuff. JMO though.

I have 1700+ posts, I have been here for over a year and a half and almost everybody here knows me well. I am not going to be in the top 25 by the time I go to college or I may never be in the top 25 ever but I don't care. Like AAOT said, it's the quality of the post that counts, not the number of posts you have.

That's all you have to really do to be popular. Just treat people the way you'd like to be treated. You are very popular on the HD board and on other boards.

Try not to worry about spoiling other people's time or your post count. Just have fun. :)

Okay, wait. I got a better comparison. Can you remember when you first joined the boards, Ricky? Maybe you felt a bit shy and maybe you didn't really know anybody those first few days. When you started to post more, people started to really get to know you. If you really want to post in the Random thread, just post. If you see something worth replying to, quote it and reply. I doubt anybody in the random threads would throw you out of the threads.

Even though we accumulate a lot of posts in the random threads, it's at least constructive chat. We don't go posting nothing but numbers of letters or symbols or whatnot, we're just sharing chat amongst each other. Now after explaining all that, you still think I'm a little 'harsh' or do you need me to further elaborate?

That doesn't matter. There are people on here with 100 posts that are just as "popular" as people with nearly 20,000. It's what you say that makes you known, not that little number. I think people mostly look at that when they hit a milestone.

I don't exactly know what "popular" is anyway. I have the people I consider friends, like Jenny, the two Chris', ect., and I guess I'm "popular" when I talk to them, but *shrugs*

Trust me, as someone who's been thru school, popularity isn't what it's cracked up to be.
