White_Daisy 02-09-2003, 01:44 PM Tutoring people in French. It's a very long long project and still going on. I didn't mind it so much initially, I just had a few people who honestly wanted to learn, but didn't know how. Then, I was "promoted."
And I now spend hours of my time tutoring the football team. And I want to shoot myself, they're so impossible. But if they fail, they get dropped off the team.
dawsongirl 02-09-2003, 03:28 PM Just about anything I have to do for school. I hate school.
I have a grammar test Wednesday- I'm gonna fail. Diagraming sentences is a waste of time.
I have a daily diary for Brit Lit due the same day. Haven't done one entry.
I'm supposed to have read this 300 page book for Latino Lit. Read nothing.
Oh...reading Robinson Crusoe AND Walden. Screw that. CLIFF NOTES.
A ten page exam summary due Wednesday that I have yet to start. Cliff notes are no help, the teacher is smart. Bummer.

~Tropical Punch 19~ 02-09-2003, 05:06 PM Well, a few weeks ago in speech, I had to interview soembody pretty important. (i guess it doesn't matter if they we important but they had to be over 30) So I interviewed a local news anocher ( i have no idea if she was over 30 lol). I ahd to video tape it, and then write a speech on her. I showed a clip of my interview on tape to the class wich was very embarrassing. i got a friggen 89 and I ahd brought in extra credit too! (the video was extra credit) Whar rreally made me mad was that the whole class got Bs on their reports. no one got above or below and that isn't right. She is such a subjective grader. i 2x last semster for englsih and creative writing. ia m so sick of her now. GR:mad:

White_Daisy 02-09-2003, 09:10 PM What I hate are those projects about obscure subjects. Analyze the way so and so uses "I" in his book and compare it with the way so and so used "you" in his other book. Hello, whatever happened to generic projects?

CollegeGirl 02-09-2003, 09:30 PM I have a screenwriting class. I have to write a paragraph summary, a one page summary, and a complete descriptions of all the characters we plan to use in our screenplay. Then, our screenplay will be 120 pages.
I have the play I'm in which requires me to memorize all the lines and do all the background research so I will "become" my character.
In one English class, I have to turn in a one page summary of our reading assignments every class day.
My other English class? Don't even get me started on that....
Babes_Cat 02-09-2003, 09:36 PM Changing myself.... dont ask.

Oh, I know. But, at least it's helping me try to decide what to write about. And at least the character descriptions make me think about what the characters' personalities are like. So, when I get stuck I will be able to think from their perspectives. For me, the most difficult aspect of the class was creating a workable idea for a storyline. I could come up with various storylines, but not one that I was pleased with. Finally, I came up with it.
How did your script turn out? Were you pleased with it? Have you submitted it to anyone yet/ tried to sell it?
Crimson and Clover 02-10-2003, 06:50 PM i have to write a ballad for english and doing a power point presentation for creative writing
*MIBabe03* 02-10-2003, 07:54 PM Next Friday I have a paper due on Murberry vs. Madison (1803) for my Government class. I did some research today and it is such a boring case. I wish I could have gotten Plessy vs. Ferguson, but no, the teacher has to give me something I haven't heard of.
