Not a useless topic for me... Mopars are my favorite muscle cars. I have tried not to bring this subject up on this message board too often because I would probably go overboard talking about it. But, since you brought it up, here are a few bits of info about Challengers. (BTW, I wonder what the engine is on the one you posted?)
'71 Dodge Challenger available engines:
(All are V-8s)
318-2 bbl...... 230 hp.
340- 4 bbl..... 275 hp.
383- 4 bbl..... 300 hp.
440- 4 bbl..... 375 hp.
440- 3x2 bbl. 385 hp.
426- 2x4 bbl Hemi (last your for this engine)... 425 hp.
Here's a few road test figures I have for a '70 Challenger- pretty similar to a '71.

90 - - - - - - - - 10.9
100 - - - - - - - - 13.4
110 - - - - - - - - 15.8
1/4 mile- - - - - - - - - 14.1 secs @ 103.2 mph
Top speed - - - - - - - 146 mph.

Rear axle ratio- - - - - 3.55:1
Vehicle weight- - - - - 3,820 lbs.
0-30 mph. - - - - - - - - 2.7 secs.
60 - - - - - - - - 6.4
100 - - - - - - - - 16.9
1/4 mile - - - - - - - - - 14.8 secs. @ 95 mph.
Top speed- - - - - - - - 135-140 mph.
Fuel mileage- - - - - - 13 mpg. (average)
BTW, these cars (in good condition) are selling for a lot of money! Check out Hemmings (http://www.hemmings.com). The asking price for some of these cars are $18,000 to $35,000!

Nice, but I prefer the '55 'Vette because that was the first year they came with a V-8. The '53/'54s had a 6-cylinder.

Hey, good idea! Top 5 favorite cars (although it's hard to narrow it down to 5).
1. 1971-1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham and Limousine. Huge, soft riding, roomy cars. Big (472- and 500- cu. in.) engines.
2. 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 engine. (Also, '69 Charger R/T.)
3. 1969 Dodge Dart GTS 340 (Plain-looking for some people, but can do easy mid-6 sec. 0-60 mph. and mid-14 sec 1/4 miles.)
4. 1970 Buick GS 455 Stage 1- fun, fun car! Low- to mid- 13 sec. 1/4 miles, enough torque to level an entire city ( 510 lbs./ft.).
5. 1957 Chrysler 300-C 392-Hemi engine (375 hp.) Powerful cars; top speed over 140 mph. (and this was way back in '57).
(One more- honorable mention)
6. 1970-1976 Lincoln Continental Big, big, big! Pillow-soft ride.
Numbers 7-10 would be more '60s/early '70s muscle cars.
