What do you guys think about Valentines Day? Its not one of my favorite holidays, and I personally dont care too much for it. But then again, I never have a boyfriend so that could be why.

I'm dont get real excited about it, so I just dream about who my valentine could be... hence my siggy! ;)

I'll be watching the I love Lizzie marathon on Valentines Day :D

It's just a plain day to me. I might get some candy or something and if it's in an Elvis container, I won't even open the container. No candy for me if that is the case. :(

:heart: I looooooove Valentines cuz I always get a lot of stuff on my locker on suprise and candies and stuff and will u be my girlfriend cards which i rarely EVER say yes to lol :heart:

I've seriously thought about wearing black on Valentines Day.

Its just a normal day to me. I will spend it at the Holdrege basketball games with my friends.

I hate Valentines Day, it sucks. I wish the whole damn day would go to hell and never return.

I have personal reasons for hating that day. Not because of no girl friend just because of a loss that hurt. :(

Ditto!!! and its not because I don't have anybody to spend it with because I do, it is just because I hate it..

It's not even a real holiday, I mean it has no special meaning to it. The greeting card companies just invented this holiday to boost sales. Same thing goes for St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and even Christmas to some extent, except that Christmas once had a meaning, just that it's all lost now and all it is is another day for stored to boost their sales. :rolleyes:

That's what I'm going to be doing to. i'm going to have a couple of my friends over and were going to the Sutton game in Geneva and then we'll probably come back to my house and watch Sweet Home Alabama.

Cool! I'm glad the Holdrege game is in Holdrege,because there is no way I'm going to go to Omaha. Yeah all my friends will be there and I can't wait. We will probably go mystic bowling after the game or something.

i like it. bella's gonna come over, so i'm happy. i'm gettin her some roses.

It's no different from any other day to me, although I would very much like that to change.

I hate Valentine's Day with a passion. It's funny....everyone in school has red and pink and white on and I sit there in my usual jeans with my dark hoodie almost looking like a Goth. I find the day utterly pathetic, with no meaning at all.

I say we start a support group!

I thought this Valentine's Day I would have someone to trade gifts with, but the way things have been going with my gal as of late, I doubt that's going to happen.

Ah well, I can send cards to my nieces.

I usually don't mind this hoilday even when I don't have a valentine...b/c even if I dont have a bf I would spend it with a good guy friend and chill, but im not like obsessed like I dont wear "valentine colors" to school or nething, but it is sorta a cheesy holiday, but romantic!!:)

but my bf is coming to my game and afterwards we are going to go out somewhere...dinna or something, not sure exactly...I have at the min. of 3 "valentines"...haha

I was exicited for valentines but alas my bf and I broke up... So i get to go to my grandpas while my dad and mom go out and my brother takes his gf to dinner, so it will be fun cause it will be the first time my grandpa and i will spend sometime together, We get to watch John Wayne movies!(he looks like my grandpa)

But i get a flower in school lol

I hate valentines day. This yrs going to be worse than usual because i dont have a bf. cant we just skip from feb 13th to feb 15th???

I guess Valentine's day would be good if my bf were here with me :crying: but it's just going to be like any other day.

I like Valentine's Day, it's a sweet day. See, I don't think VDay is all about spending time with the people you love, but to show love and appreciation for everything else. I like wearing red and I give everyone flowers and candy no matter their relation to me. People just think it means that it's a holiday of romance, but I choose to define love in a different way.

Okay, new way to put it...everyone thinks VDay is this smiley :love:
But I think it's this smiley :eyes: because you should show love to everyone and not concentrate it on a few select people.

Actually, there is a Biblical meaning behind Valentine's day. But, yeah, all these holidays have been killed by commercialism.

This year, Valentine's day won't be bad for me...

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17 to honor Patrick,
Ireland's patron saint.

Almost 1500 years ago the patron saint and national hero of Ireland

Valentines Day is totally cheesy. Some people just make me sick on this day.

I don't like it.

I don't like it cuz I don't, and never had anyone to spend it with. But it's not as bad as Sweetest Day which I think is so stupid and even more of a Hallmark holiday than Valentine's Day. But midwinter break starts on the 14th so I guess it's not that bad.

I agree. You should say "I love you" every day, not just on days like Valentine's Day. I don't especially like Valentine's Day, either. I have no-one to spend it with. I'll probably just do what I do everyday, which is go on these boards to post. The only good thing about Valentine's Day is I've got the day off that day from school because of some teacher's convention.

It's okay when it's not overdone. Couples who dress the same, or wear head-to-toe red make ya a little barfy, don't they? :crazy:
