Are there any sitcom characters that at first you hated or disliked but then they grew on you.

Paul-Cheers

At first I thought he was pretty annoying, but now watching episodes with him again on N@N I actually kind of like him. If the show did go on for a 12th season though I would not want him to become a full regular.

I couldn't stand the Janitor on Scrubs at first, but now he's starting to grow on me.

I hated Frasier when he first appeared on Cheers, but after awhile he became one of my favorites.

Murray- (Archie Bunker's Place) At first I didn't really like the Murray character, but then the character started to grow on me. I'm disappointed he left ABP. :( He could've stayed and they could've still added a few younger cast members, if they were aiming to have younger cast members.

Stephanie- (Archie Bunker's Place)- Yeah, I've confused quite a few people with my Stephanie explanation. See I didn't like the Stephanie character when she was on All in the Family, but I like her on Archie Bunker's Place.

Let me explain about Stephanie a bit more. I know some people are sitting and reading this and thinking how I can like and dislike the same character. Yeah, I know its pretty weird. Basically, I count All in the Family and Archie Bunker's Place as two different shows. Yes, I know Archie bought the bar towards the very end of AITF but that doesn't matter. When the title changed to ABP, I count it as another show. It's got some of the same characters as AITF, but I still count it seperately.

Hmm...I can't think of one. So I'll do a cartoon.

Mojo Jojo on The Powerpuff Girls. At first he grated on my nerves, but now I love him!

I used to have homicidal feelings toward Beaver Cleaver, but then I started to like him after I watched Leave it to Beaver more.

Sgt. Levitt - from Barney Miller
Now I only find him irritating when he's supposed to be irritating.

Mr. Kimball & Mr. Haney - from Green Acres*
Listening to either of them talk was about as pleasant as having a root canal! Mr. Kimball never got to the point because he'd forget what the point was! Mr. Haney had a voice like a rusted hinge! The last time this show was scheduled, I remember getting a HUGE kick out of them driving Oliver up the wall!
* I wish TV Land would return this show to their schedule!
