Thank you for that info. I went to the site and put in my email address and they say they will notify me when it's available. That's great then you don't have to think about it any longer.
We just bought a dvd writer, so we are trying to figure out how to take our vhs and put them on dvd, Thet are much clearer and last longer. By mistake recently, I taped over a tape I had really loved.

Thankyou for welcoming me to sitcoms online. It's been really nice to know there are people out there who still appreciate some good clean classic shows.
I have even made a trade already. It was really fun.
The only thing that confuses me, is that sometimes the user name does not go with the real name. I think I insulted someone because I addressed them as a girl because of their user name and it turned out to be a guy. My name is really Lucy and not because of the show. Tealady is what I do for a living, I give tea lectures about afternoon teas in the Victorian era and I own a small Cafe that specializes in tea.
Also, I think I am too old for this site, in one of the replys someone was talking about highschool, I am way way beyond that.
Can you tell me your real name, and any helpful info about this site will be appreciated.
Anyway, I am a huge golden girl fan, and my trade was for the "Golden Palace" I had never seen them before, so it was a real treat!!

Lots of stuff here, but I think we can handle it....

First of all, congratualtions on the GP trade. I have not seen that show since its original airdate, so I would like to have copies of it eventually.

On ages... it's tough, sometimes. I started out on SOL about 3 years ago, just looking before I joined. It was when The Facts of Life was still on Nick at Nite, and I felt like I was the only person who remembered when it was actually on television. You just have to guess on ages (or look at the person's information by clicking on their username). Don't worry about offenses because of age, sex, etc. Oftentimes you can't tell. It's just the internet, not necessarily real life.

The best thing to do is search. I am usually on 3-4 times during the day. Usually first thing in the morning, late afternoon, and then before bed. I have some favorite boards I check, plus if I am REALLY bored, I'll search around as well. There is a lot of fun stuff out there. TJ, the moderator, does an awesome job of keeping information up-to-date and so on. You can also try the "General Sitcoms Discussion" board. They always have good stuff.

Lastly is just have fun. You can learn a lot by searching through boards (located at the bottom right of the "home" board for each show). If you want to know why there is an exclamation mark on the GG front door, search for "door exclamation" and you'll find the answer.

Good luck and enjoy...

PS -- I'm Jim. I'm 27, live in Indiana, and I'm the marketing director for a finance company. I'm a total TV freak -- at least on shows that I like.
