I'm also looking for the complete series (not a "Best of..." collection, but the original episodes in consecutive order) on DVD. I know complete sets are becoming more popular these days... does anyone know if there are plans to release "The Andy Griffith Show" on DVD?

It'd be awesome if the show was out on dvd and it be the season by season sets. I'd def. buy the first 5 box sets.

I have been really disappointed with the tapes they are selling of The Andy Griffith Show. If you look at the titles, they are all the same. The Loaded Goat, High Noon In Mayberry" "Aunt Bees Medicine Man","Mountian Man", "Opie and the Spoiled Childl" and the "Big House".
It's almost like who ever owns the rights to this show only sold a handful to sell to the public.
I have 4 tapes and they all have the same shows on them, with maby one different one thrown in here or there.
But I would bet eventually they will come out on DVD.
We just bought a dvd copier and I put my own shows on them. But, you can only fit 4 on each dvd disk and dvd's are more expensive to tape on. So you wind up with a ton of them. But the quality is much better and they take up less space then vhs.
