Why did he leave, was it business problems, or was it just time for his character to end?

Yeah I remember that they mentioned him, minkus and a few other people that were there for the first few seasons and then not after that hmmmm I guess we'll never know
 I had to change My Name because when I first signed up to sitcoms online originally I was a HUGE SpinCity Fan and I loved Charlie and Caitlin but now its like UGH all boring to me (well that and they canceled the show) so I changed it to this one because Anahiem is one of my Fave Cities in CA PM stands for my fave movie (Practical Magic) and Witch is also for Practical magic  You really didnt need to hear all that:D

I thought he left so he could do the sitcom 'Ask Harriett' where I guess he had a bigger role. His role seemed to be getting smaller in season 4 anyway.

One of two pet peeves I have with BMW is that sub-plots end either abruptly or lack any resolution. The situation with Mr. Turner exemplifies one of the sub-plots that needed more of a resolution than the writers provided for the series.

That is what I wondered! I mean, they make you think he died cause you DO NOT see him in any other episodes! But when they well, before they graduate, they see an older Minkus and then he goes, oh hey! Mr.Turner! They also got rid of Minkus! Didn't he use to have a crush on Topey? Topanga hehe

What episode showed him last? Was it the one when he was in the hospital? I really never understood that whole deal, I mean he was a REALLY good character, and he helped Cory and Shawn out so much, lot of depth too. And don't you think Shawn would have reacted a little differently if he heard (or saw) Mr. Turner in the hallway? I think he was a very important character.

I think it was the ep that he was in the hospital that was the last ep that aired him

I think when I was on another BMW message board that they said , they showed Mr. Turner again in the Gratuation ep., but in was on a part that Disney blocked out.

I watched the episode when it first aired, and Mr. Turner WAS NOT in the episode. That would have made the best episode if he was though.

You'd think if Mr. Turner died, they would of had a serious episode where Shawn is having trouble dealing with Turner's death. So I never thought they killed off his character. I guess it's just one of those things about BMW. They go from 6th grade to 7th grade to 10th grade to 11th grade and then to 12th grade. And the teacher's (except Feeny) just disappear. Remember Eli Williams? They didn't mention his absence either.

I always thought about the grades they were in. Did the grades really skip like that?

Yeah. I know that Cory was in the sixth grade in the first season, because they mentioned it alot. The second season, Cory and Shawn talked about how they were in Seventh grade. They were in the highschool building, however. I'm not sure what grade they were in, in the third season. But they graduated highschool at the end of season five. Here's a nice little timeline I made up.

Season 1: 6th Grade (1993-1994)
Season 2: 7th Grade (1994-1995)
Season 3: (I dunno) (1995-1996)
Season 4: 11th Grade (1996-1997)
Season 5: 12th Grade (1997-1998)
Season 6: Freshmen in College (1998-1999)
Season 7: Sophomores in College (1999-2000)

As you can see, it all went haywire during season three. You could always just say that the first season was their 8th grade year and the second season was their 9th grade year. The rest would fall into place.

That is really the only bad thing about BMW. Otherwise, it's a great sitcom that I have enjoyed from it's debut up until it's end. I have to admit, when I first watched the series back in 1993, I didn't think it would have lasted seven seasons. But I'm glad it did.

You know, I think that every year they looked the age to be in that grade. When it stared they looked like they were in 6th and possibly even younger! But even though they skipped tons of grades, they still looked like they were in 12 grade and college, when it got to that point. You know? Weird!

Also they ALL wernt smart enough to skip grades! And trust me, they didnt.
