The stupidest rule at our school is that SENIORS have to leave the school if they have open campus.

I mean, if you're a senior, and if you have open campus, and u don't got a car or anything, the principal hunts u down if you're in study hall or in the library and practically pushes you out of the school and tells the student to not come back or they will get In school suspension. I mean, I've done it myself, with other students STOOD OUT IN THE COLD OUTSIDE across the street of school grounds until the next period started. (we had to leave school grounds).

I mean hello? who are u to boss us around, makin us stay in 2 degree weather cuz u don't want to see us!

At my school, we can't wear pajama tops/pants/slippers. If we do, we get Saturday school.

In high school, students who skipped class were punished by being suspended. Um, what's the point of suspending them when they don't want to be there in the first place?

that's not the point. water can be cleaned up easily, If you spill Coke or something like that It sticks to the carpet or table

Not being able to go out for lunch until 12th grade. Not that anyone follows that rule any way. The security guards are dumbasses anyways. My friend told the one that stays by the back gate he'd get him fired for smoking on school property(i dont think your supposed to) and the guy was stupid enough to belive him. So now, he just lets us go out without saying anything.

We had to wear uniforms.. so of course no pajamas, we could have water in class, only seniors could have offcampus lunch on mondays and fridays, if you were caught with gum you had to pay a $5 fine, if your book was in lost and found you had to pay a fine to get it back, each time you're tardy to school 3 times you have to pay a fine...

...I could go on and on... :rolleyes:

well one thing thats stupid...we cant "favor one side of our body" like we cant wear bracelets on one hand and not the other cuz thats gang-ish.

Did you like go to a Catholic School? Cuz if this is a Public School, I don't think they can charge you for every little thing.......like when if ure parents are so poor and u get caught havin gum and u don't pay the fine? Are they gonna like throw u out on the streets and say get the heck out of our school?

Oh, and at my school it's the worst. We can't have schoolbags, gifts of any kind (wrapped I mean), and the girls can't have purses, OF ANY KIND! And there is a monitor by the restrooms,

well when i was in high school, we had very strict uniform code.

ID badge on the left collar only. if any of these were broken, saturday school.
being late for class twice, saturday school.
pretty much doing anything, saturday school...and this was a public mind you..god i hated that place

It was a private Christian school.

We had more than our fair share of stupid rules, but at least you all didn't get fined for every little thing even though we payed $350 a month because the school administration were money-hungry, selfish bastards.

Yeah, pretty much all we have for a big rule is no jackets in class. And the school is ALWAYS so cold. Like, 50 degrees. It's better than the negative degrees outside, but still. I sit in class sometimes and shiver.

If I wanna be cold, I can go home. My mom always keeps the damn heat on 60, even in the middle of winter. (I'm always turning it up. :))

probably one of the dumbeest rules at my school is that they close the snack machines during lunch hours, so you are basically forced to buy (or steal like my friend does :rolleyes: ) school lunch, or bring your own.

I remember in Junior High we had assigned seats in the cafeteria for lunch. You could choose who you wanted to sit with but you had to sit with the same people all year long at the same table. I thought that was so stupid because in Jr high someone might be your best friend one day and the next day they could be your worst enemy. We should have just been able to go in there and sit where ever we wanted. Geez we had assigned seats in all the classrooms, we shouldn't have had to have them at lunch too.

We did that in elementary lol and in middle school! If we sat somewhere else in class they would bitch you out or send u to detention or something which was stupid....it was that way also in the lunch room.

Course adults always have to treat us like babies at 18 years of age and that torks me off :mad:

Omg yea um the seniors in the school get like 2 weeks off of school at the end f the year and the rest of us have school because they all have testing at the end of the year and when they're finished they have summer vacation.

:lol: omg..... we have a nacho bar at lunch and then a snack bar.... so people would buy stuff at the snack bar like Doritos and stuff and go to the nacho bar to ask for cheese on top of them... well I'm sitting in ELA Communications today and the principal comes over the speaker thang and said her usual 'Please excuse this interruption for an important announcement...' so we all think it's something important, ya know, so she proceeds with "From now on, students at all lunch waves will not be allowed to get cheese on their snacks from the snack bar, only cheese on the nachos" and everyone is sitting there like "WHAT the ****?" and Mr. O'Byrne is sitting there choking on his coffee cause he's laffing... we were all like...'she's on crack'

oh yeah I forgot... in middle school we had "potty breaks" so at certain tiems the teacher's would be like "who needs to go tot he bathroom. Okay line up at the door." We had to line up and be chaperioned to the bathroom unless it was an emergency! how stupid!

My High school had rules but the administration wasn't strict. If there was a fight they would let it go, unless it got real bad. We had all kinds of dress up days, the only thing about the dress code that made people mad was the kids who have tattoos have to cover them. We could have gum, Pop (in the hallways only) and the teachers allowed treats in class if they had enough to share with everybody. All grades have an open campus, which Holdrege is one of a few schools in Nebraska that have an open campus for all grades. All in all High school was very enjoyable.

You can't wear pajama pants at my school unless they are regualr sweatpants, we can't go out to lunch AT ALL, and your not supposed to have food or drink in the classrooms at all but all the teachers let that one slide. You also have to sign into the bathrooms in case they find a bomb threat in there or something. But they never look at the sign in sheets, my brother writes weird things on there all the time and got in trouble once because for his name he wrote "Cottage Cheese." :lol:

One of our dumbest rules is if your late to any of your classes, you have to spend the entire period in the tardy lock out room doing nothing. You can't get make up work from the class that you missed and your counted as truent. I think it's dumb and pointless.

That's because we're upperclassmen and we deserve to get out earlier. We've been there long enough. Trust me, you'll feel the same way when you're a senior.

Yea this one kid in my bio class had one sleeve rolled up and my teacher goes "HEY! Both up or both down!" We can't wear shirts with airbrushed stuff that says "RIP" someone because "they couldve been victims of a gang shooting." We'ew not supposed to wear blue and black, tan and black etc...because they're gang colors...our school is in the ghetto...

Oh meangya.. Im so thankful that I went to the school that I did! Some teachers had their own rules about bathrooms. Uhh... Im sorry, If I gotta take a piss Im not gonna wait for the class to end. If I get a bladder infection, they can pay the bill...

Here are some stupid rules:

1. for PE, forget your clothes twice and u fail the course (it's a 1/4 credit)

2. Snack machines are on AFTER lunch

3. Can't play games on the computers.

4. Can't smoke (but the shop boys chew anyways)

5. You can only think of sports if ure spacing off (that's what are school is pretty much, sports.)

6. All students that who graduate must be in an extracurricular activity (PE IS included) but i'm in Band, BPA, and PE so I'm alright :D

7. No hats

8. No TV

9. No Food In The Hallways

and 10. NO TOWEL SNAPPING IN THE LOCKER ROOM OR ITS A HALF HOUR detention in the coaches office! Course girls don't do that sort of thing........

That is stupid. Most of my teachers don't even care about that.

We also have this rule where we're not allowed to carry backpacks. I understand that it's b/c of safety precautions or whatever, but it makes it easier to transport a lot of stuff, especially when you can't get to your locker b/c the hall's so crowded.

You get detention and have to clean the toilet you did that in (Well they used to do that my freshman year......they quit that two years ago thank god cause the government or whatever put a stop to that....the principal's an ass here lol)

Haha.. since you dont have to do it anymore. Go to the bathroom and COMPLETLY miss the toliet, so they have to clean it. Then, for an excuse say that you were on a time-limit and you didnt want to get in trouble LOl.

We can't chew gum in class. In the gym we can't wear black sole shoes. I understand that one because the black soles mark up the floor. We also can't eat lunch in the hallways either, although everyone eats in the hallway, anyway, and nobody yells at anyone, as long as people clean up after themselves. We can't wear hats or toques in class, either.

The only rule that makes sense to me is you can't check your email during class time. I always obey that rule. Unfortunately, the people I hang with in school are some bad apples who checked their email and surfed the web today during ENGLISH CLASS, while I was writing down ideas for our assignment. You'd think people wouldn't be so lazy as to check email in class. I don't know why we even had to go to the computer lab in the first place. All the other groups stayed in the classroom and worked there. :rolleyes:

uhh we cant wear bandanas ESPECIALLY ones that are red or blue i think b/c they think they're gang colors that rep bloodz or crypts or whatever! It sux for me cuz I wear bandanas almost all the time....we also cant show ANY cleavage or wear sunglasses!!!!!!

I remember in 8th grade, when the year was over my history book had some minor wear and tear to it and they charged me something like a $2.50 fine because it wasn't returned in the exact same condition it was when I got it at the beginning of the year. I didn't pay it hoping they might forget about it. About a month or two before I graduated High School my mom gets this letter in the mail saying if we don't fork over the $2.50 they won't let me graduate so I finally ended up paying the stupid fine. To me it didn't make any sense because the school should not expect the books to be returned in the exact same condition after the kids have been using them for 9 months. I could understand if the book was destroyed and pages were torn out, but mine only had some nicks and scratches.

Omg. everyone in my class finds this child abuse. If you do something wrong, the teachers have these bags, and they put all of these stupid papers and books in em, and then, if ur really bad, they will put weights in em so they way like 14023740 pounds and they make u carry em around school all day. we should sue. lol

And here is another interesting bathroom story. We only have two bathroom breaks aday. One in the morning at like 9:25am and one in the afternoon at like 1:40pm. So we go in the morning and its fine. BUT! if you are in band, you can only go once. !!! OMG! So to go to the bathroom when you normally have to go, you have to quit band!!??? THAT IS A BUNCHA BULL! Anyway, I walk home so i get o go, but it pisses everyone off. THEN! We have bathroom monitors who are INSIDE the bathroom with yoU! OMG! PRIVACY ANYBODY!!!?
