In 1988 a 17 year old guy attended a graduation party, driving his mother's car. He was last seen at the party but nobody saw him OR his vehicle leave the party. His name was Randy Wayne Leach. Nobody ever found him or the car he was driving. Rumors about what may have happened that night have been flying around but nobody claims to know anything. He was from a small Kansas town by the name of Linwood. The case has recently been re-opened due to some new information the police have recieved. You can view his case by simply entering his name under your search provider. This case has baffled everyone from the area. I really hope someday we will find out what happened to this young man. Thanks for taking the time to read this.:wasntme:

Mysteries like that drive me nuts. Since there is a car involved hopefully cops can one day find it and that usually offers a lot of info. Strange......What are the rumors?

Oh what a strange case.
Maybe his soft drink was spiked, or, maybe he got into some sort of disagreement with the people who were drug users and they may of harmed him in some way.
It's particually odd that the car never showed up although I guess shared databases between law agencies didn't come in till much later (about 2003 here in England). Licence plates are easily changed. I have heard of people using duct tape to change letters and numbers when using a vehicle for a crime.
I don't believe too much on the cult theory (found here http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/l/leach_randy.html) as there was no evidence of any crime committed and I'm guessing there would of been some indication that someone had been held captive in the cave and it could be determined if the cave had been methodically cleaned.
The oddest part is the car driving past his parents house at 10mph the next morning, and, another thing that stirkes me is a woman daying she told Randy to go outside as she didn't want him to fall in the house and hurt himself (found here http://timesupblog.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/randy-wayne-leach-still-missing.html) seriously wtf, you'd be at more risk of injuring yourself outside with concrete etc than you would inside, I really just don't get some people plus it makes her seem really suspicious.

My take is that someone slipped something in his soft drink and he overdosed. I believe there was a cover up to hide the body and car and they were successful.

I would guess the guilty party to be the unidentified person seen with him at the conveinence store. And I think that would be one of the 2 persons of interest that have since died.

I did try originally but it didn't take, try this http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/102481423232241/
or
http://www.facebook.com/groups/102481423232241/
or Randy Leach : The Truth is Out There, but be warned it's quite busy with some of Randy's family members and people do take offence when strange theories turn up.

Well that certainly puts a different spin on my theory!

Your theory seems most likely but you never know.

Thanks for the link! I requested to join. I think this is a case of an accidental homicide where hiding the body and car turned out to be successful.

You're welcome. You might be right but you'd think someone would have slipped up by now.

Obviously, that was my first thought too. But after reading that FB page, and the theory about the dad being abusive, crushing the car, etc, I have to wonder. I read as far down the page as it would go, but sure would like to read more indepth about that theory.

This is one case where I agree that maybe someone spiked his drink or A drink and he happened to drink it, ended up more than just "drunk", and passed out or died.

I think it's a little bit different from a Kurt Sova or a Jack Davis Jr. type case because I don't think Randy Leach was planning on getting totally loaded (have thought that Sova probably saved that Everclear he bought for the party and drank it at the duplex in his case).

I'm not sure if they would have just went ahead and buried Leach? What do guys think about what they might have done with his body (assuming he OD'd on something)?

His body could have been dumped anywhere possibly into one of the lakes in the area the question is is he with the car.
