View Full Version : Do you ever talk in your sleep?

I have always talked in my sleep. There were several instances where I dreamed I was yelling angrily at someone and using profanity but I couldn't yell loud enough because it's a dream and I'll wake myself up and...ya. I swear, I have woken myself up talking and yelling while sleeping I don't know how many times. My parents have told me that they can hear me from the end of the hallway even when my door is closed.

Does anybody else talk in their sleep?

I don't talk in my sleep, but I woke up twice laughing in my sleep. I watch the Golden Girls way too much! Both times I dreamt of either something Betty White said or a certain episode. Then I'd wake up to find myself laughing.

I do! I got off work this morning an hour early because I got really REALLY sick. I went to my room and took a nap, hoping I would start to feel better. I asked my parents to PLEASE wake me up at 1pm and to not let me oversleep because I had rehearsal at 2pm. Well, I woke up and it was 1:45pm and it takes me like 40 minutes to get to my college. Ugh! I asked my parents why they never called me.

My mom answered, "I called you up and asked you if you were going to rehearsal and you said no. Then I asked you if you were awake enough to know what I was talking about and you answered yes. So I left you alone."

The scariest part is that I have no recollection of anyone asking me anything or me answering anything. I must have been talking to her in my sleep.

I did once, I was dreaming about the last day of school and someone asked me what kind of milk I wanted and I said "Chocolate." It was weird because I was waking up when I said it.

My niece talks in her sleep. She did algebra in her sleep once.
pretty weird.

Well, my mom says I do.... but I asked her "What do I say?????" and she said "Oh, you just mumble stuff" Good thing I don't blurt out anything important, or else I'd never be able to go to any parties or anyone's house ever again

My dad does too. My mom says he conducts in his sleep (he's a band teacher) and he starts smacking her with his arm. And one time we heard him going "La la la la la" in his sleep

I don't talk in my sleep. At least, not that I know of. One time my Dad heard a voice talking to him that said his name while he was sleeping. He woke up and said "Huh?" After he told me that I never forgot it and always laugh at him about it.

I'm sure we've all done it at least once in our lives, but I honestly don't know because nobody's ever told me. I know that my daughter does it from time to time. It's pretty funny actually.
