Hello all,

If you could have any of the castaways as family memebers who would they be and why? I would want Mary Ann to probably be my mother becuase she's sweet and well she seems more like the motherly type then Ginger. Mrs. Howell I would'nt want as a mother but I think she and Mr. Howell had a son in the movie Rescue From Gilligan's Island did'nt they? Its just my opnion about the Howells but as for parents I'd rather have Mary Ann and The Professor. The Howells maybe would be good parents if they shared their millions with their kids. No offense to anyone if you think The Howells would be good parents its just my choice and opnion that Mary Ann and The Proffesor would be better parents. Ginger might make a good aunt or sister and Gilligan seems like the brother type. I guess the skipper could be an uncle I was going to say a jolly uncle as long as he stayed in a good mood and did'nt loose his temper.

Its a bit hard to say with some of the castaways what family memeber I'd want them to be. So if you fans could have any of the castaways as a family memeber who would it be and why?

Also did the show ever mention Gilligan's last name? Does'nt Nick at Nite say all their names? Skipper's name is Jonas Grumby, The Professor is Roy Hinkley, then there's Ginger Grant, Mary Ann Sommers, Eunice Lovey Howell, Thurston Howell, and did it ever say what Gilligan's last name was? I got all their names from Nick at Nite's site and I just wondered about Gilligan's last name and I guess Gilligan would be his real first name. I'm talkaing abot the characters on the show not the actors.

Gilligan IS his last name. His first name might be Willy, it was never said on the show but SHerwood Schwartz says that would've been his first name if he had one.

Well, I'd have to say that I don't really think any of them are cut out to be parents. I'd want Mary Ann and Ginger to be my sisters- Mary Ann could give me advice and stuff and Ginger has all that neat stuff I could borrow. Gilligan, I don't know, I think he'd be a good cousin. I can't really see the Professor being any family member, I see him more as a next-door-neighbor. The Skipper would be an uncle and the Howells would be an aunt and uncle.
