I was just curious what your views on Transvestites are? A Transvestite is a man or woman who dresses as the opposite sex.
Such as Rupaul. I think they are funny.

I don't find it particularly.....attracting, but I mean....whatever floats your boat. As long as your happy.

I think it's a lil...*ahem* odd...but who am I to stop em? They don't bother me...I don't give a crap if they wanna dress up like the opposite sex...good for them.

Things like this really don't bother me.

I find it kind of funny. Theres nothing wrong with it, but when I see one, i always want to laugh, because i think of Ru Paul for some reason.

Transvestites aren't necessarily gay, btw.

Gee, did I get some hot flashes when I saw that RuPaul chick on that "Work" video......

But that's another story.......

I think dressing up as the opposite sex is ok if there is an interest in it.

Transvestites aren't gay at all!! People always get their terminology wrong when it comes to this issue -

Transvestites are straight men who dress up as women. Eddie Izzard (I dunno if you guys have heard of him - he's a British comedian) is a transvestite cos he is a straight man who likes to dress in womens clothes.

Drag Queens are gay men who dress as women. Ru Paul is a drag queen - not a transvestite - because he dresses as a woman and he is also gay.

Straight people don't seem to acknowledge the difference between the two and it always bugs me.

I apologize, you're right--they AREN'T gay period!! I think when I said "necessarily", I didn't mean that I literally meant "some are and some aren't"...I was using "necessarily" as a figure of speech.

I think it's a little weird and always do a double take not knowing if I just saw a guy or a girl but whatever floats their boat.

Btw, I see you have a picture of Rene Zellweger from the "Chicago" movie. Hmmm, someone left a copy of "Out" magazine here at this library computer station which features her on the cover...

no....first off hairstyle isn't a lifestyle...and you would have to admit that hairstyle and imitating a woman and wearing a dress is a little difftent.....?

And I really don't see what your getting at here...so by liking her I amnot acting like a man because gay people also like her? Again liking people and dressing like a woman is totally diffrent....if this is what you mean.

Transvestites can be strange sometimes, but hey, they're free to act however they want.

On a school trip last year me and one of my friends went to the ladies room, a step inside the door i heard a guys voice say hello to me...i looked up and there was a transvestite standing at the sink doing his makeup...caught me off guard a little, to say the least.

I find it more than a little disturbing.

There's a good question! Which restroom do transvestites and drag queens use? I'd be a little weirded out if I went into a womens restroom and there was one.

It's fine by me. But honestly, I can't picture a man walking down the streets in a dress, for some reason.

Clothes don't matter really. People have different ways of living, it's just a matter of people accepting them.

You're totally right. The fact that transvestites and drag queens are treated like there's something wrong with them by society in general just goes to show that society has a hell of a lot of hang-up's. People who have a problem with gay people or trannies need to take a look at themselves first - if you're comfortable with yourself then you will be comfortable with the way that others are too.
It's also a classic case of double standards. I live in a pretty out-of-the-way town and people are quite closed-minded here but I can walk down the street dressed in men's clothes and I don't get that much trouble (a few idiots will always wanna start something but it's nothing I can't handle). But if I were a guy and I were to walk around in my town in womens clothes I'd be beaten to a pulp before I could even blink!
Society needs to wisen up. That's all I can say.
