What do you think about when a celebrity gets a role on a sitcom playing a character totally different from his or her image?

A good example would be Jessica Simpson's Annette character on "That 70's Show".Her image is the wholesome Virgin from Texas and on T7S she quite simply plays a slut.

What are other examples of this?

Woody Harrelson- On Cheers he was a dim witted, wholesome country boy bartender, but in real life he was a hell raising, hemp smoking toughie.


Andy Kaufman-On Taxi he played the naive foreigner, Latka Gravas. However, in real life he was an evil genius.
