I got an email from TVShowsOnDVD.com today. This is what it says:

Dick Van Dyke season sets in 3rd Quarter? 1/29/2003

According to Video Business magazine, Image VP of marketing Garrett Lee had this to say in an interview this past Friday:
"As for The Dick Van Dyke Show, the classic sitcom co-starring Mary Tyler Moore that ran on CBS from 1961-66, Lee said Image will probably release it in single-season compilations. (It is) targeted for release in the third quarter, Lee added."

Great news for those of us desperately waiting for complete episodes. As this is coming from Image Entertainment, it ought to be the "official" release of the series that has been spoken of for over a year at the Dick Van Dyke website. Dave cannot wait!

Can you validate this for us Doug? Do we really have an aproximate release date? It seems like the third quarter is a long time away considering the year just started.

I was all set to post this, but I see Christina has beaten me to it. ;) I don't know how excited we should be by this news now, but I figure one of these times it's got to be right! LOL

I have to admit I got kind of excited when I saw the email in my inbox, b/c I thought it was about th second season of "Mary" which I'm desperately waiting for LOL. I'm a little disappointed it wasn't, but this is still cool. :)

Ahhh. You guys beat me to it as well. I too got the email and found it to be very, very encouraging. If this is true, Doug should be telling us ASAP.
