Remember that court case about the women who sued McDonald's for making them fat? The judge threw out the case saying that McDonald's does not force anyone to eat there. Thank God, I was wondering when all the stupidity would end!

I hate fast food. Whenever I got to Mickey D's (which is rarely) i get either a salad or a chicken sandwhicha nd I never finish it but the burgers.... *shudders* so gross.

I'm glad the case was thrown out. I wish some people would learn a little something called PERSONAL RESPONSABILITY!!!

The sad thing is that international McDonald's are required to have signs about their food. Like, I know the ones in India (all two of them!!!) have to have a sign that reads, "Beef is not used at all in any form or shape in our food."

I have a terrible problem, I go to fast food places a little too often and put on weight, but I blame my damn fat SELF for putting on weight. These lard-caked broads should stop trying to make money off corporations that offer the CHOICE of eating junk.

Even tho' I do like Big Macs...the fries n' Coke are murder...

Ack...I'm horrible when it comes to McDonald's. There's one right by my college, so I often get the urge to go there. I usually get a salad.....and then top it off with a sprite and fries. Well, DUH...the soda and fries is going to put the weight on me. So, I have to work it off. That woman should learn a little thing called excercise.....and moderation.

Well, did everyone know why coffee cups fsay "Caution: Contents Are Hot"? Apparently, a woman drove up to McDonald's drive thru and ordered a coffee. She spilled it on herself and got burned. Then, she sued McDonald's for not telling her the coffee was hot and actually won the case. I'm not sure about her, but I know that I've never drank a cup of coffee that was NOT hot (unless it was iced).

I like McDonald's sometimes, but it seems that you have to eat
the food while it's hot in order for it to taste good.

You can sue for anything in America - your legal system is mad!!
I read about a woman who sued a microwave company because she killed her dog by putting it in the microwave to dry it off after it'd been out in a rain shower!! The screwed-up thing is she actually won the case!!! WTF is that all about??? You'd never get away with that in Britain!!!!

There are some real lunatics out there, and we have more than our fair share.

Anyway, the woman who wanted to sue paid for her food didn't she? Then why would McDonald's be responsible for her obesity? She pulled money out of her own pocket, it's not like McDonald's was paying her to eat.

Okay, so this is the way I see it. McDonalds is responsible for the food. However, when the person takes the food that's when the responsibility passes to the person. When you shove it in your mouth, it's your doing. Nobody forced you to buy it. Nobody forced you to eat it.

The same goes with cigarettes. You choose to smoke them, then you have the risk of getting lung cancer or other serious health problems.

Exactly! Cigarettes are a good example. It's the same with alcohol;
I drink a lot and I know that I will more-than-likely end up with health problems because of it later in life. But I'm not gonna have the nerve to try'n blame my illness on the companies that brew the stuff!! I chose to drink it - the manufacturer's didn't put a gun to my my head and demand that I get drunk! If I get sick it'll be my fault, just as it is the fault of the woman in question - NOT McDonalds - that she's fat!

She needs to learn how to count calories then she'd know that all she was probably eating at McDonalds in one sitting is more than she should be eating in a few days.

That is so sad. Poor dog. I hope some people with Against Cruelty to Animals went after her for that. My mom has a friend who kicks her dogs. It's so mean. Instead of just shooing the dogs away nicely she kicks them so they will get out of the way. But, to sure a microwave company over something the person did? That's just wrong. Was the woman mentally ill or something because I just can't imagine any normal person doing that to an animal.

Most of my relatives are overweight, except for me. They all think I'm anorexic. I'm not, I just have my mom's genes, she's skinny too. It's no wonder most of my relatives can't stand me. I guess it sickens them to look at me, but hey I'm not the one running to Mcdonalds, or other fast food restuarants just for a snack.
