Ok uhhh, let's make this clear.

The series, VALERIE, debuted as a mid-season replacement in March 1986 and starred Valerie Harper. It ran for two seasons with that title. In the fall of 1987, Valerie Harper was fired and the series was renamed VALERIE'S FAMILY/THE HOGANS and Sandy Duncan was added to the cast as Sandy Hogan. Then in the fall of 1988, the series was finally changed to THE HOGAN FAMILY. In repeats, all episodes are combined under the title of The Hogan Family, except for a couple lost Valerie episodes that were filmed at the start of the 3rd season (1987-1988 Season) prior to the termination of Valerie Harper.
