View Full Version : I don't know if this is the place for this...
pandora_spocks 01-27-2003, 06:51 PM I don't know if this is the place for this, but I am looking for a very rare music video by Letters to Cleo called 'Dangerous Type.' It was released in 1996 for 'The Craft' movie. Would appreciate a copy of it, email me or PM me if you know where I can get it.
Also, looking for rare movies, tv shows, and game shows with Elizabeth Montgomery. I have quite a few, but looking for a lot more. Send me a list of what you have and I'll get back to you.

I will. I don't think the person who won it will email me back though. Well, if it was a scam maybe they will. If I could get my video capturing device to work with Windows XP I'd put it on VCD myself. :)
What's this? I didn't know that she wanted more scenes in it. It seemed a little short to me though, but I loved it. Practically every movie of hers that I've seen so far has been great. I'll admit though that when the black and white episodes of Bewitched were on nick at nite I became hooked. So naturally, I had to see other things she has done too. I really love her voice I've even made a cd of her singing from Bewitched episodes, and a few finds I've found over the net like when she sang with Vic Damone. She truly had a beautiful voice. :)
Larry Tate 02-01-2003, 03:32 AM Yes Liz had the most lovely Voice, she could have done much more that way but choose acting as her main creative path.
I have seen all of her movies, every one was a creative joy to see :),i especially love her pre-Bewitched appearances, just wonderful.
Below is an article that spoke of the extra Bed scene that Liz wanted to establish the romantic relationship between the characters.
Larry Tate :)
I HAVE FOUND A BOOK CALLED SWEETHEARTS OF THE 60'S BY ROLAND L. SMITH,THAT HAS A CHAPTER ON LIZ FROM PAGE 63 TO 71.MOST OF IT IS OLD HAT & NOTHING NEW,JUST THE AUTHOR'S OPINION'S BUT HERE IS AN EXCERPT OR TWO. "In 1979 Elizabeth signed a deal with CBS that paid her $275,000 per film.the price would rise over the years.add that the wise investments & the immense profitas from BEWITCHED (of which she & asher were part owners) and the figure becomes very immpresive indeed.
Keeping her integrity and staying visable in important TV movie roles wasn't always easy.sometimes even the most determined efforts were in vain.Elizabeth recalls failing in her bid to bypass network censors to film a scene in A KILLING AFFAIR as the script intended---with O.J.SIMPSON & her together in bed.
When the combination of black, white & bed didn't make it to the screen ,MONTGOMERY voiced her displeasure ,complaining to the press,"the networks really underestimate the publics, their sophistication, their ability to cope with things that go on every day.And it annoys me that the censorship has gotten to a point where they will not face reality,it's stupid & childish."
Liz said "i'm not trying to put BEWITCHED down,"says ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY"i've just reached another plateau in the type of work i want to do.
it's like a man working all of his life as a gardner & suddenly waking up to the fact that he wants to be a landscape architect.i want to act--believe me--because that's what i do best."
they said in the book that late love was a fluffy play that did not get good reviews.& that ingenue Elizabeth was noticed mostly for her heritage as robert montgomery's daughter then for her acting.
crtics wrote "robert montgomery's daughter elizabeth is trim, pretty & attractively petulent as a love lorn youngster," another said that that he had noticed the daughter had some traits her father didn't:"one perky nose & two perky buzzooms.
liz said that her father was brutally frank in his evaluations of her work."dad is brutally frank when he criticizes my performances,"she told writer vernon scott."he never gives me a pat on the head when i deserve a rap on the knuckels".
in 1963 the year before bewitched movie audiances saw DEAN MARTIN be tender with her in WHO'S BEEN SLEEPING IN MY BED & with HENRY SILVA be tough with her in JOHNNY COOL.paramount had been grooming her as a sultry,super-bewitching sex symbol ,five foot eight in heels.
the NEW YORK TIMES deplored the flaccid direction of william asher in johnny cool, but not the scenes featureing ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY,especially "when she does her soul searching wearing nothing but a lap robe...Miss Montgomery ,without the benefit of wardrobe, attracts more attention then the entire uncomfortable cast."
On the set,ELIZABETH was generally even- tempered & Asher firm.they showed some affection, but the atmosphere was very professional.
once elizabeth stopped during rehearsal of a scene, trying to recall the next lines of dialogue."where are we? she called out."Stage 4.Bewitched ,"Asher answered dryly."shall we continue?."
with 14 hour days ,liz & bill valued their privacy & the time they could spend with their young children.they liked bike rideing for exercise ,& one of Elizabeths favorite forms of creative relaxation was painting & drawing.
She admired Andrew Wyeth's work ,& had a very homey touch of her own. Magazines sometimes printed a few of her whimsical drawings, includeing cute, crookedly smileing self portraits of the innocently witchy Samantha.
The show ended & eventially so did the marriage to bill asher."Divorce is not as big a bugaboo as it was years ago," she said,"and if it's handled openly & honestly, especially if there are children involved, which there were with bill & me,I think it's fine."

I haven't seen all the movies, nor have I seen all of her pre-Bewitched appearances, but one that comes to mind is her appearance on Thriller with Tom Poston. I really liked that one, vampires lol. Another that comes to mind is The Untouchables, I really liked this one too, and it was neat to see David White with her before Bewitched. :)
Yep, that sounds like Liz. Always fighting for what she believed in. She has been such a positive influence on me and I like to think that she knows that she still has a place in our hearts. I love to read about the things she liked to do. I read in one article that William said that Liz saw every Disney movie made, then. I thought that was cute and also I think from the same article she was talking about her chipped tooth. I actually never noticed it until I read that article and what she said about it was so funny and warm. "You couldn't cap just that one, you'd have to do them all. And then you'd end up with a mouth full of Chiclets." lol. If a celebrity can joke about something like that you just gotta know that their special. I just read on your profile that you have 400 pics of her on your walls?! I have a lot of pics, but not that many! lol. Do you know what other books Liz liked? I knew she liked Anne Rice novels and that she did an audio book for one of them.
I wish she was still alive, who knows what other credits she would've added to her filmography.
