Vh1 had a special on actor's trying to be singers. They had clips of both Hal Linden and Abe Vigoda singing on talk shows. In addition to singing Abe did a little tap dance number. It was so funny! Did anyone else see it.

I missed it. It sounds funny. IMDB lists Hal Linden as a real song and dance theater man before landing the role of Barney Miller. He met his wife in 1955 and they're still married today. She's a former dancer.
It's hard for me to imagine Hal singing and dancing.

Now, when I read this thread I thought it was going to be a fan fic. TSK. Get writing, ladies!

I remember in one of the eps there was mention of wojo singing (talent show ep?). I wonder if he sang in the show at one time and it was cut out for syndication?

I haven't seen Barney Miller on tv since I was a little girl, (other than tvland, of course) so I don't remember details about a lot of eps. I heard somebody say it was on nick at nite several years ago.
Bummer, that must have been when i lived in Connecticut - stopped watching tv entirely there. (which is too bad, because that's the only thing to do there, really)
