I think it's refreshing for a 15-year old mind to be so interested in world affairs and current events. It's good that you possess an interested mind, and you'll be a smart cookie as a result.
A thirst for knowledge is a good thing. :)

No, not at all! I think that's cool.

Okay, now am I odd for being obsessed with names? I collect them and I have a long list of them on my computer...and I just...like them. Is that weird? I think it's weird. But it suits me so it's okay.

It's not at all weird for a 15 year old to be interested in news. You should be proud of that. I don't understand why so many are not interested.

It's not strange at all that you enjoy the news. I try catching it whenever I can.

Heck no. When I was 10,11, around there, I used to sit and watch the Weather Channel all the time. Weather facinates me.

But if anyone thinks watching the news is dorky...how 'bout this:

Things I enjoy doing (really)-
Reading dictionaries
Reading encyclopedias
perusing libraries

I hate the news. It makes me sad to know that some people get hurt, or killed, or are homeless. I never watch the news, thats to much reality for anyone.

OH no you aren't strange for watching the news, it's better than doing other crazy stupid stuff :)

Ditto. When we have a tornado come through, the first place the news reporters go is to the trailer park, and they interview the biggest red neck in the whole place. "yah, and then i started haring this reeel loud noise, sounded kinda like a frate trane. and then i looked out that thar winder over thar and i seen this bleck cloud and i swar it was as big as ol' Billy Bob's pasture over thar 'cross the yaard, which one of Billy's cow was picked up and lended over in that thar drection. So me and Floyd goes and gets ar guns and we's decide we's gunna shoot that thar cloud clean outta the sky. We ain't skeered of such as that."

No your not strange for watching it, I try watching the news whenever I can. I try and watch NTV and 10/11 our local news stations and watch fox news as well. Its kind of funny but I'm the news source for Holdrege,if people want to know the news here they ask me.

Don't be ashamed of your love of TV News.
When I was growing up, we were allowed to watch TV at dinner, as long as it was the news.
Now as an adult, I still watch the local news at dinner time.
It's a good habit to get into.

I watch the news, too. I usually watch Headline News on channel 47 because it's on 24 hours a day so whenever I feel like watching the news, I watch it. I even watched the way back when I was really little like, 5 and 6. My parents would always watch CBC news around dinner time and unless I wanted to eat in the kitchen by myself, which I didn't, I watched it with them.

It's cool that you like the news :)

I like the local news, especially the weather, Channel 13 is the best. I don't care for National and World news much, I find that too depressing, I'll leave on in the background.
