I've never seen it. This is one of the several sitcoms at this message boards that i've never seen. Has it ever been in syndication or even cable repeats????

This show hasn't been on TV in a long time. It used to run in syndication, but that was a long time ago.

"Love Sydney" was originally a TV movie entitled "Sydney Shorr," about a lonely bachelor who takes in a pregnant actress.
The movie aired a few weeks before the sitcom premeired.
The series was set a few years later when Sydney and the actress (Swoozie Curtz in the series, someone else in the telemovie) shared Sydney's apratment with her cute daughter.

It should be noted that Sydney's character was homosexual, although it wasn't really brought up that much.

It was a pretty good sitcom, and Tony Randall was great as the fussy Sydney.

Yes, Brett. I remember it. It really wasn't one of my faves, but at least Lorna Patterson, & Tony Randall were in it, & they're both great actors. Just a question, Brett. Where on this board do you go to create your very own thread for a particular program? I would like to start a different thread, of another show, & have been through the boards with a fine tooth comb, & i'm just going around in circles. Thanks in advance. Cassie

Lorna Patterson!

That's who I thought was in the telemovie.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Jeez, that was a long time ago. I do remember it aired on one of the local New York stations a few years after it went off the air...

It was a wonderful show! I love Kaleena. So special and believable. The series had a lot of charm. I was disapointed when it left. I would love to see it again.

I've never seen this show, but I have seen a few clips. I doubt they will ever release this show on dvd, but I wish they would air it on tv again.

The last time this show was on syndication had to be around late 1985 or early 1986.
