Well it turns out I may be fortunnate enough to return Europe again this summer.

The choices put out there so far have included Italy and Greece (which I've never been to), or back to England and Scotland, (which I loved first time around) or possibly over to Ireland (which I've also never been to).

Even though I've never been to Italy or Greece, I know alot about what there is to see there. I hardly know anything about Ireland though, other than Waterford Crystal and the Blarney Stone

And of course Guiness. Oh yes, I'm familiar with that. ;)

So anyone ever been? What are your impression of it?

Nope, never made it to Ireland, although I've heard it's gorgeous. I've been to England (and I'm going back there this spring) and I love it there, although the weather is icky.

Funny, I'm also trying to make it to Italy. Greece I can pass up, while it has a lot of historical beauty, my roommates have all been there and they've said it's really dirty. Italy I've been waiting my whole life to see, so I can't help but recommend it!

I'm not a big fan of Ireland. There's far too much crap going on over there for my liking and I don't wanna end up stuck in the middle of it.
Just come back to Scotland, Bootsy - you know you want to! :D

You have to come to Scotland Karly - I can tell you about all the major places of interest that you should visit.
I really like it when people on Chit Chat express an interest in my country. Bootsy and I exchanged many long PM's about her trip to Scotland last year and I really enjoyed (and I hope I helped) giving her info and pointers on the best places to visit.

I LIVE in Ireland. It is rubbish, then i suppose everyone thinks the lace they live is boring, cos they're there all the time. First, everywhere is ok for tourists first time visit, it's only great if you enjoy scenic views and high mountains. No one is friendly, in fact, it's a bit like L.A with the gangs, and territory at some places. Not everyone drinks guiness, only old people, there are more underage drinkers probably than anywhere in the world. There are protestant and catholic societies, some ppl will kill you if you are not careful. only go if you like Hill Walking, Scenic Views, calm parks, picnics, the odd museum and planetarium, and of course history.
If you go to Ireland GO TO THE SOUTH! The north is where the bad things mostly happen , mainly the terrorism, there's probably as much drinking in the south. The south has arcadesand gambling rooms EVERYWHERE. I'm not sure why, and besides, all those site seeing things, alot are in the south, excluding just a few.

Bye

I'd really like to go since I'm Irish and try and track down some family members. That would be kinda cool.
