Did you notice that in "Topsy Turvy" when Gilligan sees upside down, Mary Ann is on the left, I think... and Ginger is on the right when we see them right-side-up. When we see Gilligan's view, Mary Ann is still on the left, and Ginger is still on the right. If Gilligan was really seeing upside-down, Ginger would be on the left and Mary Ann on the right.

Season 3 Episode 22 "Splashdown" = Skippers shirt is way up exposing his big belly! Really? + And his belt is sideways?

In the same episode, when the Ginger and Mary Ann bring the drinks in the "bamboo" cups, you can tell they're actually made of glass when the capsule begins to drift away and one is tossed aside (by the Skipper I believe) and you can see and hear it break when it lands on a rock.

Goof: When Gilligan falls into the munitions pit with the clothesline, you can hear the Professor say "The rope! Why it's holding the trapdoor open." However it is clear to see the Professor is not talking. Now I know OFTEN they redub audio when it's sometimes hard to hear but this is just out right obvious and I NOTICED this RIGHT away even as a kid?

In the scene where the castaways rush into the lagoon to soothe their over-heated feet, look closely and you'll see the pants of both the Professor and the Skipper are already wet up to the knee before they enter the water.

When Bob was filming with the lion, the actors were warned not to make loud noises or sudden moves. When the lion was on one of the Howells' bed, Gilligan may have touched him and jumped and yelled. The lion pounced, but the bed was on wheels, so the bed rolled out from under him. The lion slipped and narrowly missed Denver. The animal trainer didn't want any of that information to be given out because it would ruin his career. I have heard Bob tell this story how he was nearly killed too in an interview as well. Back in the 1960 they used real animals and did not have good CGI, special effects or good animatronics.

Not to mention the fact that he should be facing the other way if he's leaving the island and in the open ocean tsunamis can travel 600 miles an hour and are only about a foot high. If you were on a decently large boat and a tsunami passed under the boat you probably wouldn't notice it.

In this episode Gilligan says there are guns on the island yet there are no bullets, that's funny, cause didn't they get a riffle and machine gun and all that ammo off the Japanese sailor? Wow, in 2 episodes they shot all those bullets at nothing.

During the show's theme song in the beginning in Season 1 they show Gilligan and the Skipper on the ship's deck and when they say the words, "...the Minnow would be lost..." Skipper moves to the right and his elbow bumps out from behind the deck wall (you then can tell the "ship" is only a wooden front they're standing behind).

Episode #2 is entitled "Home Sweet Hut" and is about the time that the castaways build one hut, decide it's too crowded, and then decide to build their own individual huts.

During this episode, Gilligan visits the girls' hut and Mary Ann and Ginger smell some homemade (hut-made?) fudge burning!

In Season 1 Episode #9, Gilligan and Mr. Howell discover a Gold mine. Later, as the castaways attempt to leave the island in a raft filled with gold, Lovey is the first one to fall through-into the lagoon. But in the next shot as Howell says, "Women and luggage first," Mrs. Howell is dry and sitting back on the raft next to Mr. Howell? Then she's in the water again? How'd this happen? Who's fault is this? THE FILM EDITOR in my opinion. HE is supposed to be EDITING and checking things like this.

Season 3 episode 24 "The Second Ginger Grant" Episode #92, Mary Ann faints and when revived thinks she's Ginger. After a hypnotic sequence, Gilligan falls into some mud and decides to take a bath in his hut. Later, when the Skipper uses the key words "Mary Ann," Gilligan thinks he's Mary Ann and in embarrassment puts his entire head under the water.

Wow, very sloppy editing. I think some of this might have resulted from working conditions that were less than ideal or even pleasant. I think Sherwood was a perfectionist that probably dictated many retakes which might have delayed or rushed the editing aspect of it.

I think the cigarette might be a mark to tell the actor(s) where to stand for the camera. In this case maybe it was to help Bob where to land during his fall. Just an idea.

Season 1 Episode #20 (St. Gilligan and the Dragon), the girls leave the men because the men won't build them a hut. Thurston Howell begs Lovey to stay and says: "But Lovey, we've been married 19 wonderful years." But, later that night, the men are talking about women and Mr. Howell says, "I know everything there is to know [about women]. I've been married to one for 22 years." Not 19 years as he had said previously, in the same episode! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? DOES ANYONE READ THE SCRIPT? DO THE WRITERS EVEN PROOF READ?

Not 19 years as he had said previously, in the same episode! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? DOES ANYONE READ THE SCRIPT? DO THE WRITERS EVEN PROOF READ?

Perhaps 3 of those years weren't that wonderful. ;)

Did you notice that the American flag is flying at half mast during the opening titles scenes of Gilligan’s Island? (Season One) This is because that footage was shot on Nov. 22nd, 1963 - the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

In the show's opening, there is a very minute detail which indicates that at the time of filming, our nation was in mourning over the loss of President Kennedy. As the S.S. Minnow is departing from the marina, it passes in front of a small building on the shore in the background with a flagpole situated to the right of it. The flagpole enters the picture just before the camera switches to a different view of the boat, which then shows the Minnow heading out to open sea. Flying from the flagpole is the American flag, and it is flying at half staff which (on November 26, 1963) is in memory of President Kennedy. This opening sequence can be seen on the opening of all black and white episodes from Season 1. They mention this also in "Surviving Gilligan's Island 2001 Documentary"

The boat that the Professor is trying to fix is named "Minnow", but the one that is shown in the opening credits says "SS Minnow". Not to mention it's OBVIOUS several DIFFERENT boats were used and look nothing alike?

In the beginning of the first episode, Look at the people on the boat. Those people aren't Dawn Wells Maryann & the Professor Russel Johnson that are normally on the island! Why? The reason this happened, was the beginning of the episode was also shot for the pilot episode. The people in the background were the original cast, not the cast we all know today.

Look at the lagoon at CBS Look CLOSE and you can see the roofline and a part of the exterior wall of the sound stage on the studio lot.

On a side note, Mrs. Howell Natalie Schaefer also did a Brady Bunch episode. I love Easter eggs like this. Too bad they didn't have the other Gilligan's Island cast appear in other Brady episodes.
