I think we can safely say that the general consensus is that none of us have any idea what Cat is talking about!

Are you talking about ones from the borads?

I have... or at least I used to.

I think it has something to do with spyware, though. It supposibly underlines words that might "interest" you so that you would click on them. And from there on, it would lead you to aother website. I think it's http://www.searchwww.com?

If you click on the thermal underwear you get.... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/1036592/104-2785627-3835930

I guess it has to do with whatever the word is.

No, I don't see it either. The words aren't even clickable. I thought it might be because I use a pop-up blocker, but when I turned it off and refreshed my page there was no change.

Hm...

weight- Let me see if this word gets underlined.

Yep, it's underlined for me. I've got to play with this option. I hate it.

Fascinating, I right click and hit refresh. The underline is gone. Let me try this again.

I don't see how the problem could be geographical but it certainly is strange that the only people afflicted are all from the east coast of the U.S. It's certainly not a problem here in Bonny Scotland.

I know, I'm just picking on Jenny. ;)

I'm gonna set my clock to EST and see if anything is different, just for the hell of it. I know it probably won't do anything, but I'm just too curious. :D

Scratch that. Didn't accomplish anything. :p But I thought it wouldn't anyway, so no biggie.

Yes Jos the bomb is right, I think what is causing this is Ezula TopText Spyware... Ive heard reports of it coming with Kazaa Media Desktop, But many who have downloaded Kazaa Don't have it so Im Not 100% sure on that... Comes with some other programs as well though.... To get rid of it, try going to www.lavasoftusa.com download ad-aware, Do a scan with it then don't delete anything and post the ad-aware log file on ad-awares support forum and they will tell you what to do to get rid of it... Though you may want to tell them you want to keep Kazaa incase you try this and have kazaa , so they don't give you instructions on deleting the spyware with Kazaa as well which would make kazaa not work...

A site about Ezula, seems to include easier remove instructions then I gave lol, http://www.cexx.org/toptext.htm

http://doxdesk.com/parasite/TopText.html

Both of these sites claim it comes with Kazaa Media Desktop.. My guess is, This Ezula Toptext is one of the optional bundles... When you install Kazaa, It asks if you want to install other programs as well, One of these was Ezula... Some chose to install Ezula, while others didn't...

Actully may want to try there removal instructions since they are easier,... It will get rid of the program or should, but it won't get rid of the spyware(I don't think)... Least the Yellow underlined words would be gone though ;)
