View Full Version : Rubix Cube Rhiannon 01-25-2003, 12:06 AM don't those suck? Warm & Fuzzy 01-25-2003, 12:10 AM  Omg, yes they do.. I've had one before, but never even got CLOSE to solving it. It drove me nuts. AllIWantIsYourClutch 01-25-2003, 12:11 AM I hate those. Once, my cousin locked herself in her room and came out and had it all done and my mom thought she was a genius (she was like 10 at the time) but she foundout that she peeled off all the stickers and put em on the cubes. consentida 01-25-2003, 12:11 AM Those things tick me off to no end. I can never figure them out. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 01-25-2003, 12:12 AM I dont have the patience. My brother always solves them though. Lil SOB. *Marilyn Monroe* 01-25-2003, 12:19 AM There's no way to figure those things out! They're impossible! ~LadyJess~ 01-25-2003, 12:21 AM I know one person who honestly finished the Rubick's cube once. I can get one side done but that's it. They frustruate me. Rhiannon 01-25-2003, 12:38 AM I peeled the stickers off and put them back on like I'd solved it and showed my math teacher and she believed me. What a moron TJL 01-25-2003, 12:39 AM Boy, what a big deal that toy was when it came out. Everyone in school had one. Ya know, if you smash one corner with a meat tenderizer, you can break those darn things apart! Then you just reassemble the pieces so the sides match. Mine didn't come with instructions, is that how you were supposed to solve it? ;) fr00ti 01-25-2003, 12:58 AM yeah i had one, i could never figure the god damn thing out. *Marilyn Monroe* 01-25-2003, 11:01 AM Originally posted by TJL Boy, what a big deal that toy was when it came out. I have one in my room. I have various pieces of crap from the 1980's in my room. I've got an old Nintendo and one of those dancing flower things aswell! Titania 01-25-2003, 12:49 PM mine drove me insane.....i gave up and peeled the stickers off and put them on the right sides. same w/ those little sliding puzzles- i have no patience- i take the pieces out and put them back in right Warm & Fuzzy 01-25-2003, 01:34 PM Originally posted by Mossopp one of those dancing flower things aswell! I still have a few, somewhere, in different styles. I admit that I do also have a book of instructions. I'd need it now. But I had gotten pretty good at solving the thing without looking at the instructions way back when. :) Mossopp 01-25-2003, 06:28 PM Originally posted by Starfish22 yeah, mine didn't come with step-by-step instructions on how to solve it Mine came with a book on how to solve it. I think I still have the book. I wonder if the book and cube together are worth something. I've heard of collectors who pay big money for stuff like that. *Mossopp gets £££££ signs in her eyes!!* KER-CHING!! TJL 01-25-2003, 08:35 PM Originally posted by Mossopp I wonder if the book and cube together are worth something. Hate to break your heart Mossopp, but since millions of Rubics Cubes (and tons of knockoffs) were produced, it is ulikely they will be of any value. If it's unopened and in mint condition, then maybe it could be worth something.
