Well, are you? Freezing in your own home? But, THERMAL UNDERWEAR!

Okay, seriously folks, i am freezing, sitting here at my copmuter, typing with my gloves on, okay, it isn't that cold, but my butt only falls asleep when I'm really cold, so, i guess its cold because, well, erm, my butt is asleep

Not now but in the mornings when I get up that is when I usually freeze. I hate this cold weather. I am so looking forward to the Summer!

I'm in Texas and it does get pretty cold here but I don't have to worry about freezing my ass off too often.

This might sound strange, but I had to use the a/c in my car today on the way home from work. The car was sitting in the sun and the outside temp. was 75 degrees, so the inside of the car was kinda hot. I didn't have the a/c on for long, though. The interior of the car cooled off quickly. (This morning's low temp. was 57 degrees.)

As I said, though, we do get earthquakes out here, too. There was a small (magnitude 2.9) quake centered in the city of Chatsworth (about 4 miles from me) last Sunday at 2:41 AM. Unfortunately, I felt it (for some reason, I was awake at that time). Luckily no aftershocks felt.

Cold? Hmm....yeah I'm cold. I'm cold all dam day.

My apartment is really old with a really inefficient heater. It is so old (how old is it?!?) it's got asbestos on it. Most of you are probably too young to know what asbestos is

Anyhoo, so yeah, I wake up and go to school. The walk to school is literally through a wind tunnel, every day. The way they built the building, the wind just whips around it, even if there isn't really alot of wind to begin with.

Once I'm inside, you'd think it was sweet relief. But NO! It is so friggin' cold in my lecture hall that people leave their coats, hats, and scarves on all day in the building. Some even keep their gloves on. My classroom is a new fangled high tech place, where every desk has it's own electrc outlet, meant, of course, for laptops. It's so cold in there though that people bring in space heaters and heating pads.

Then when I come home there is little relief. It's always cold in my apartment, but especially frigid in the bathroom. Sitting down on the toilet seat is pure torture (I've literally taken to putting paper down on the seat simply to sheild me from the iciness). Then I have to get naked in the coldest room in the place in order to take a shower, and my water heater sucks too, so I can't even take a long hot shower. I can take a short lukewarm shower. I so miss jumping into the shower on a cold day and just standing there letting the hot water beat down on you. No such luxury here.

And to top it all off? I'm paying more for my gas bills here in one month than some of my friends are going to pay all winter in their apartments.

It's time to move.

I never get cold cos I have a parka.
My house is generally pretty freezing but I don't feel it when I've got my parka on. A couple of Saturdays ago it was absolutely freezing outside! Everyone had scarves and gloves and about 6 layers of clothing on cos it was so cold. But I went into town that day with my parka on and nothing but a t-shirt underneath and I felt nothing!

Only 27 degree? It must be northern Florida. I like spring (and summer) better, too.
