I want to know where he did his suicide.

I always thought he died due to a health problem, but for the 1st time a few years ago, i heard it was suicide.

They said he hung himself in his closet. I also heard he banged his head on the wall.. In the closet, did he hang himself by the mouth on a closet hook? What did he actually do?

He hung himself in his hospital room closet. Apparently he was very distraught over the seperation from his wife.

what in the closet did he hang himself on?

I believe it was the linens from his bed.

where in the closet did he hang himself on is what i asked? did he hang himself by the mouth on a hook or something? i keep thinking that...

E True Hollywood story showed the closet. I believe it was on a pole.

It was the hanger rod in the closet. Why they left it in there is beyond me. Great psych ward.

I know; my thoughts exactly. A person is in a psych ward for a reason, you'd think they'd remove mostly everything (besides sheets) that a person could use to harm himself or others.

The hangar rod is not a hook-it's a rod. He probably wrapped the sheets around his neck, tied them to the rod, and hung himself.

ive always thought he hung himself on the hook by the mouth. i was just doing that.. lol

Very tragic death.

And Ray seemed like such a nice person - I remember when I first heard about it,how terribly sad and bizzare I thought it was.

Yeah, exactly. Ray just didn't look the type to do something crazy like kill himself.

You're exactly right, Jenny. He was such a nice man. :(

But even the nicest of people have demons. He just couldn't control his.

i do not think there was nothing wrong with him.. he was good health-wise until he ended his life

No he wasn't.

1. He'd been in a car accident a year or two earlier and was still in great pain from it.

2. His wife left him.

3. He was going broke. His comedy clubs were going backrupt, leaving him in the red.

4. He lost his job on the Feud...to the original guy.

Both the physical and mental pain drove him out of his mind, so he ended it all. He probably just wanted some peace.
