I was watching The Beverly Hillbillies one time (I don't like that show, but I was bored) and saw Jim Backus. He was playing a very rich man who came to the Clampton's (sp?) house and thought this was a HillBilly party. This was in a black and white episode and I'm wondering whether this was before or after Gilligan's Island.

I can't be sire bit probably before.

I saw part of that episode to, But, I think that it was probably before because he couldn't have done both parts, back Gilligans Island and the Beverly Hillbillies were only one once a week.

I'm bored today so I'll take pity on the search-engine challenged http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif and look this up.

Hmmm... Mr. Backus play Marty Van Ransohoff in "The Clampetts Entertain" which originally aired 4/23/1963.

Gilligan's Island debuted on 9/26/64.
