How many years was the crew supposed to be stuck on the island?

They wheren't supposed to be stuch there at all! But the weather started getting ruff, anfd the tiny ship was tossed... why, if not for the courage of the fearless crue, the Minnow would be lost!

The ammount of time differs depending on which reunion movie you're watching. Considering that all the actors and actresses involved where forever typecast as "the castaways" and couldn't get legitimate acting jobs after that series, I would say tha they are all still marooned http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

The castaways were supposedly stuck on the island for 15 years until they were rescued in the movie "Rescue from Gilligan's Island."
So, up until the point that they were rescued for the first time, they were stuck on the island for 15 years. Hope that I helped!!!
