My faves:

TA-DAAAAAAAAA! (As Mike runs in and saves the wedding cake, albeit briefly, Peter flips his magician cape back, and other scenes)

The William Tell Overture -- The kids running through King's Island with Mike's blueprints, but it was funnier in the "Two Pete's In A Pod Episode" where the scene cuts to Michelle in the living room (with the love theme from "Romeo And Juliet" playing on the TV), then to Peter in the kitchen changing into his Dracula costume (to the WTO), then over to the family room where Pamela is listening to a rock and roll record, back to Peter and the WTO, back to Michelle, and so on

Organ soap opera music: Upon Alice's realizing that the mouse she had exterminated was Greg's science project ("I'm a murderess!")

That's about all I can think of. Next!

I'm glad somebody brought this up! The incidental music is one of the best parts of "The Brady Bunch"! Like the suspense music they play when everyone is waiting for something to happen (for the vase to start leaking, or for Marcia to get permission for her slumber party). Or the sort of silly music they play when the thing they (or we) are waiting for actually happens (water starts leaking out of the vase, Myron the Mouse starts chewing his way out of the hamper). Then there's the sad music they play when one of the kids is down (can't think of a specific example). And then there's my favorite, the trombone (maybe tuba) sound that goes "Wa wa wa wa wa wa wa" whenever some slapstick happens (Alice gets painted in the face, Oliver unravels Carol's knitting, Oliver gets ketchup all over Greg, Bobby sees skyrockets, etc.).

I've always thought that they should have used many more of these sounds when they did the spoof movies.

(BTW, they also use the TA-DA! when Peter introduces The New Jan Brady. "Hi there!")

I always liked the music that they played in Law and Disorder when Bobby was doing his homework while the washing machine was overflowing. They used the same music in the first season episode, Katchoo, when everyone tries to give Tiger a bath.

My favorite incendental music is at the end of the first grand canyon trip episode. When Carol says, "And what if Mike and Peter don't get back from the road in time? What will happen to them, to all of us?"

I liked how when they went to the Grand Canyon, they came up with some special new western-style music cues, which they even tried to use after the Bradys were back at home. Same thing with the Hawaii trip. Remember the eerie five-note bar they'd play whenever the tiki/taboo idol appeared? They used that again when Greg and Peter broke the lamp in "Goodbye Alice, Hello".

They also use the TAA-DAA! When the Kaplutian guy steps out of the UFO. and when Bobby makes those pool-shots in his dream.

TV-GUY, you and I must think alike! I also love that Wa-WA-WA music like when the ketchup splats Greg!

Do y'all ever notice that the music that accompanies the Western movies they watch is ALWAYS the same music? For that matter, every time they go to the drive-in, it's the same old movie!

Oh, man! I laugh my head off watching Peter frantically trying to change clothes to the William Tell Overature in "The Two Peters" episode!

That tiki music is funny also. I, too, thought it odd that they played it when Greg and Peter broke the lamp!

I think the best way to describe the "depressed Brady child music" is that is is just a s-l-o-w version of the beginning theme song.

I also like the music when someone finally gets brave enough to do something (like when Carol marches upstairs to tell Mike about Marcia and Harvey going steady. It has a military sound to it, like, ""Dummmm, da-da-dummmm, da-da-dummmm." I hope this makes sense!!! It's hard to describe music without using an actual sound-bite link.

Oh...I almost forgot! I also like that music they play when Carol and Mike are going up and down the stairs when the kids have measles. Also, they play it when Mike is on hold on his payphone in the family room. For some reason it reminds me of the theme music from the old "Newlywed Show."

There's also a "post depression" theme that is played after someone has overcome some depressing situation, and it's played like the next time they show that person. Whenever it comes on I can play it, but all I can think of now is this descending chord progression.

Cmaj7 - Bm7 - Am7 - Gmaj7

The progression is played only one time.

The eerie music they played during the Broken Vase episode used to really scare me and freak me out.

Richheart,

Are those chords on the guitar? I don't know how to play one, so could you translate to a keyboard so I can play it?

Or just point out a specific scene where they play it (I have all the eps on tape, so I'll just put it in and listen for it.).

Thanks!:)

Elizabeth, that's just the chord progression. It can be played on the keyboard or any instrument.

I can't even remember which scene(s) it was in. That's just the way I remember it being used.
