They indeed do! I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon watching a few BM episodes from the second season, most of them happened to feature Wentworth (Linda Lavin), and what I noticed is that, even though she wasn't the most gorgeous, model-like actress on the planet, she had an awesome, flirty smile that would have melted me away! :) I watched "Alice" a few times many years ago, and don't really remember her that much (I remember the loud cook!). I think that if they hadn't cast her in "Alice", she probably would have found a home in BM. She is the only female and new detective to call Barney "Barney" right off the bat!
I also noticed that particularly during the first couple of seasons, they all spoke really LOUD.
Oh! By the way, if Janice reads this, at least one of the pictures in Barney's office is of Luger, Foster, Kleiner and Brownie!

Great. Thanks maclen. How did you nail that one? I'll bet Luger told Barney, right? I can picture that.
The first season, as well as the cast speaking loud, they sort of overplayed their roles. Wojo chewed that gum like like crazy...Harris had the jive talking cranked up about 10 notches.
I don't remember Linda Lavin that much. I've always thought she was a good actress.

Ah...TV Land when it was still a GOOD channel. I enjoyed Linda Lavin's Wentworth - I actually found her a much more interesting character than Alice Hyatt, but I digress.
