Smart Guy isn't an original series, lol. It was on WB for two seasons and Disney bought it a couple years back. I agree it's overplayed though.
~*Hannah_Lee*~ 01-19-2003, 12:59 AM Ugh, I agree. They overplay those original movies waaaayyyyy too much too!!
DarleneIllyria 01-19-2003, 01:07 AM Ugh, it sucks now.
Where is that rant button? Anyway, the music videos get on my nerves. I've said this before, but those mini videos annoy me. It's time each channel gets back to the basics. The music channels should show the music at normal times. Doubletakes should be used for a few hours.* For each oldie station that starts getting into original programming, they need to come up with another station to show the old stuff.
Just my 2 cents
*Doubletakes- I agree that doubletakes are cool if you like the show. It's just ******** to base your whole station on doubletakes. Show doubletakes for 2,3, 4 hours. Don't make your whole station into this big doubletake.

Yea, exactly. The 24 hour channels (Like Hallamrk or TVL) have room to play double takes, so I think it's fine, but say for like N@N, they only have a couple hours so don't have a lot of time to play their shows.
Mr. Shy Guy 01-19-2003, 01:12 AM I don't even watch Disney. And that appears to be a good thing.
Chad22 01-19-2003, 01:15 AM I Like Boy Meets World and all, But i really dont care fo the Disney Channel anymore.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 01-19-2003, 01:15 AM I love the Disney Channel!!! LOl. The only shows I watch though are Lizzie, Boy Meets World, and Sister Sister.
fr00ti 01-19-2003, 01:50 AM That freaking crap is so annoying. I really hate that one show. It sucks.

Same with me.
Mossopp 01-19-2003, 11:21 AM I hardly ever watch The Disney Channel. The only reason I have it is cos I get it free - if you subscribe to all the movie channels they throw in Disney for free. I wouldn't get it if I had to pay for it cos, quite frankly, it's simply not worth the money.
The only thing I ever watch on it is 'That's So Raven'..........and I only watch that if I'm really bored. There are much better kids channels available (Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Trouble and Nick are all way better - although I don't really watch them much either).
RainMan 01-19-2003, 04:17 PM I hate this!
That's so Raven was an "okay show" (I hate that damn rapper and Ravens lil brother Cory who thinks he's all that he's like Arnold from DS only MORE annoying than ever!)
What is so bad is that they ditched The Proud Family so that it only airs on ABC Kids now! Prolly in like 2 weeks they will ditch The Proud Family on there and put That's So Raven on there.
I loved The Proud Family. I'm surprised they didn't ditch Kim Possible also. But I would really scream and punch the owner of Disney.
Nate
Central Perk 01-19-2003, 04:20 PM Yeah, the Disney Channel does overplay their shows. The thing that bugs me is they do all these things for Lizzie McGuire but they always seem to ignore Even Stevens, which imo, is their best show.
MandieR1980 01-19-2003, 05:04 PM I love The Disney Channel, I watch Boy Meets World, Sister Sister, some of the movies
I don't like the new cartoons they're either making or acquiring...if I want cartoons I'll turn it to cartoon network.
What happened to the good cartoons like Scooby Doo and The Flintones?

Don't you have Boomerang in America? It has all the old cartoons - Scooby-Doo, Flintstones, Jetsons, Snaggle Puss, Hong Kong Phooey, Josie & The Pussycats, Hair Bear Bunch, Jabber Jaw, Captain Caveman.......?
AnaheimPMWitch 01-19-2003, 07:01 PM to be honest with you I Dont even watch Boy Meets World anymore you've seen one ep you've seem them all and Yeah I agree the Disney Channel is going down hill
JDS84 01-19-2003, 10:40 PM I used to watch it when I was little but I hardly watch it anymore.
~*Hannah_Lee*~ 01-20-2003, 01:04 AM The Disney Channel is going wayyyy down hill. They show the same crap over and over again. You could videotape one day's worth of Disney, and that same crud would be on the next day, just in a different order. People aren't stupid!! 50% of the kids that watch that can probably quote every line from every episode of every show. Thats how overplayed it is.
SBTB Geek 01-20-2003, 01:33 AM I think that they only overplay their original movies. They do sometimes overplay their sitcoms, but not that much... if they do, they only do for awhile. For example, they used to overplay "So Weird," and "The Famous Jett Jackson"... and they rarely play them now.
I was surprised by "That's So Raven." This show is actually "watchable." The episodes I saw last night were kind of funny.
...and the reason why they are building up on "Lizzie McGuire" is because that's their most successful, and highest rated show Disney Channel's history. C'mon... what other Disney Channel show has had a chance to move on to primetime ABC?

Even Stevens was also on ABC Primetime.
Nate
Mr. Stefani 01-20-2003, 01:47 PM "Even Stevens" is the only orginal series I like. I tried to watch "Thats So Raven", but I couldn't stand it. Just the way the girl talked made me want to claw off my skin.

NO.
"Even Stevens" did air on ABC, but on Saturday mornings. "Lizzie McGuire" has the option to move to PRIMETIME (8:00 p.m.-11:00p.m.)
No other Disney Channel original sitcom has done that.
MagicDust1488 01-21-2003, 01:47 PM The Disney Channel doesn't have that many programs, so they have to repeat many programs just to fill in all of their timeslots. I really don't watch Disney anymore because they don't have that many good programs anymore.
Their new show "That's So Raven" is really stupid and childish! I only watch Boy Meets World, Sister Sister, and some good original movies (only when nothing else is on). Disney has really gone downhill and is still going down that path.

'Seventeen Again' is pants! That's the one with Tia and Tamera, right? I saw that on Christmas Day a year ago - I wasn't impressed.
How come 'Sister Sister' is on the Disney Channel in America? In the UK 'Sister Sister' is on Nick. That's why I always assumed it was a Nick show.
Three'sCompanyrules 01-21-2003, 04:46 PM The Disney channel isn't to bad but I can't figure out why they play kids shows on late at night because I loved it when Zorro was on,I mean what young kid is going to stay up that late anyway other than that I sometimes watch Boy Meets World and Sister Sister although That show was good when it first came on but I don't care much for it now.
