View Full Version : Characters Mentioned/Props Used in More Than One Episode!
Jack1000 01-18-2003, 04:58 PM Guys,
I can think of several:
1. In "Fistfull of Reasons" Peter gets in a fight with "Buddy Hinton,
in "Tell it Like it is" Peter says he got in another fight with Buddy Hinton.
2. In "The Big Bet" Greg is forced to take Bobby on his date with Rachel, he reminds her of this when he goes to another drive-in movie with her in "Greg Get's Grounded"
3. Filmore Junior High School's audience in "Her Sister's Shadow" is actually the same footage used in "Vote For Brady" which occurs much earlier.
4. "The Grass is Always Greener" shows Carol reading books on baseball to help the boys learn batting practice. One of the books is called, "Rudaments of Baseball: Tips from Ruth to Mays" If you look very closely you will see Greg reading that same book while lying on his bed for a second in "Juliet is the Sun" (Not positive about this, but I think I am about 70% sure.)
5. You can see boxes from Driscell's Toy Shop in "The Hero" and in at least one other episode there is a Driscoll's box in the garage! (Does anyone know which episode? I can't remember!)
What others can you think of?
Jack
Adam the Great 01-18-2003, 05:59 PM In the episode "My Sister Benedict Arnold", to get back at Marcia for dating Warren Mulaney, Greg dates Marcia's rival Kathy Lawrence who is played by Sheri Cowart. I guess Marica proves she's mature and doesn't hold a grudge, because in the next episode The Personality Kid", she invites Kathy Lawrence over, and she and Kathy as Peter to explain about the movie "The Revenge of the Potato People".
James 01-18-2003, 09:33 PM There was a pink magazine involved in at least two episodes.

That's a great point! And actually, "The Personality Kid", in which Marcia and Katy are friends, was episode # 54, and "My Sister, Benedict Arnold", in which Marcia refers to Kathy being "on the bottom of her list", was episode #57...however, they were originally telecast on consecutive weeks, and in reverse order... ("MS,BA" was originally aired on October 15, 1971, while "The PK" was originally aired on Oct 22, 1971)...
Getting back to the original question of recurring actors/props, I always noticed that several of the kids used the same Algebra book in a lot of episodes...The top half of the book cover was red, while the bottom half had a white, green and black geometric pattern...the reason I always noticed that book was that it appeared to be the same algebra book that my older brother used in school, and I recognized the cover whenever it appeared on the BBunch...I think all 4 of the older kids used that book as a prop at one time or another...I don't know if they were ever seen actually studying from it, but they all carried it around with them at one time or another...
Jack1000 01-19-2003, 02:29 AM Guys,
We'll have to check this, but I think in "The Hustler" if you look in the garage (they sometimes called the garage a "car port", remember?) you see a box from Driscoll's Toy Shop!

TV Guy 01-19-2003, 09:53 PM The family does a commercial for Safe laundry detergent in "And Now a Word from Our Sponsor". Later, Bobby uses Safe to wash his clothes in the episode where he becomes a safety monitor.
hawaii five-o 07-07-2003, 08:50 PM Carol talked to her friend Martha on the phone in several of the earlier episodes. Also, the box of Safe was featured on the last episode when Cindy kept her rabbits in the service porch.
About the pink magazine: It was called Vanity. I can't remember the first episode it was in, but Carol was looking at it while in bed. The other time it was used was in the very last episode. Greg was looking at it at the beauty parlor.
Elizabeth B. 10-20-2003, 10:27 AM You know what's funny about that magazine, "Vanity?" It was used as a prop in a final-season episode of "I Dream of Jeannie!" When Tony and Jeannie are having their house remodeled after they got married, Jeannie looks at a picture in it, and blinks her house to resemble it. That was in 1969, so look how old that magazine is!
Also, do y'all notice that every time Carol goes shopping, she comes back with those pink-and-black gift boxes, tied with gold string? The same ones every time!
Oh, and the funny thing about the last episode (Hair-brained Scheme) is that if you look at the laundry soap on the shelf of the service porch, it's not Safe, but BEST!!!!   I guess they ran out of their lifetime supply, with all the clothes they wash.
hawaii five-o 10-20-2003, 06:52 PM Also, when Carol and Alice are unloading groceries in the kitchen, they always have a box of something that looks like cereal. The box looks like it has mountains on it.
Elizabeth B. 10-20-2003, 07:05 PM Yeah, I know what box you're talking about! It has those mountains on it, and it's about the size of a box of Quaket Instant Oatmeal. There's a few larger ones too. Maybe it's the box that the "store brands" all come in. ;)
Mijada 10-21-2003, 08:01 PM There is a mask that Bobby has, I think it's a donkey, that is shown in at least 3 eps.
Elizabeth B. 10-21-2003, 08:06 PM That's right, and also Carol's little round sewing basket.
Also those butt-ugly green-&-brown coffee mugs, the ones with the squareish designs on them. Ugh!
Vegas Girl 10-21-2003, 08:26 PM I remember Bobby putting on a donkey mask once in his room.
I don't remember seeing it three times.
Did you notice that Peter loved airplanes? He was always 'working on' an airplane.
I remember seeing the mask lying somewhere on a shelf in the boys' room.
Yes, I noticed that about Peter and airplanes, too! He asks for one in The Hero, he hits BeBe (is that her name?) with one in Mike's Horror-scope, he and the others put one together in Alice's September Song, he is working on one when he can't wash his hands because Jan is in the bathroom, and he's looking at one when Bobby throws a pillow at him a breaks it. There may be more.
Vegas Girl 10-22-2003, 02:32 PM They wore the same clothes over and over: Carol's gold colored outfit, Jan's orange outfit, Greg's navy/white striped shirt, etc.
(I never saw the girls on Full House wear the same thing twice!)
Did you also notice that the boys never wore shorts (except in Hawaii) and the girls only wore them in the first season?
Elizabeth B. 10-22-2003, 05:44 PM And Carol also wore that greenish-gold dress with pants on underneath it. Finally one season she got daring and left the pants off, and made it a minidress!
Elizabeth B. 10-22-2003, 05:48 PM You know how I mentioned before that the "Vanity" magazine was used as prop on an episode of "I Dream of Jeannie?" I just thought of another!
The long pink chiffon nightgown ensemble with the "pom-poms" on the ends of the sash, that Carol wore to bed in the first season, was worn by Samantha on "Bewitched" once or twice.
Vegas Girl 10-23-2003, 07:14 PM Yeah, I noticed that first the gold outfit was a pantsuit, then it was a dress!
OKCRay 10-24-2003, 02:58 AM I think there was another magazine that was used as a prop more than once... it was something called NOW, and it looked like it had a picture of William Tell or some other archery guy on the cover. This was the magazine where Jan saw that advertisement which inspired her to get her infamous black wig!
Vegas Girl 10-24-2003, 06:09 PM There was also a number of episodes where Peter was either going to a party or having his own party.
Elizabeth B. 11-04-2003, 01:57 AM Just thought of another one!
Bobby wears his NY Jets football jersey in the Joe Nameth episode, and you also see that football outfit in the episode where he thinks he got mumps from Millicent.
He makes his bed to look like he's in it, and Carol pulls down the sheets and there's his jersey.
Mr. Brady wore the same apron in The Grass Is Always Greener and in the episode where he made the gourmet dinner (the top part was folded down in the latter).
Mrs. Brady wore the same wig for her Cleopatra and Snow White costumes.
Did you also notice that the boys never wore shorts (except in Hawaii) and the girls only wore them in the first season?
I forgot about this but they all did wear shorts in the Snow White play.
Greg wore shorts at the end of Law and Disorder when they were getting ready to take the boat out.
In Adios Johnny Bravo, when they get home from the tryout with the news that an agent wants them to call, Jan says she wants to call Kerry; I assume this would be the same girl as in the Cyrano episode.
Pug Lover 11-10-2003, 06:53 PM In a scene from one episode[I can,t remember which one],where Greg is looking out his bedroom window,a small framed picture of a cartoon clown juggling balls of all different colours, can be seen on his bedroom wall. That very same picture was seen regularly on the livingroom wall of Laverne and Shirley,s original Milwaukee apartment on Laverne & Shirley.

In several episodes during some scenes in the girls' room there is a drawing of a girl on the wall, and she is wearing tights with green and white horizontal stripes. That same picture can be seen in the episode of Happy Days where Richie and Fonzie sneak into a girls' dormitory at a nearby university (I forget what). It is in one of the girls' rooms at the dorm and can be seen when the woman apprehends them. (Remember Fonzie dressed in a pink nightgown?)
Pug Lover 11-12-2003, 07:50 PM Yeah I remember that too.It was hilarious to see Richie and Fonzie in nightgowns, especially when they were suddenly greeted by Ralph and Potsie at the window, who both said"panty raid".
I think Peter used the same wrapping paper for Marcia's diary and Lucy Winter's birthday present--at least it looked the same to me, and it sure was wrinkled when he was wrapping Lucy's present!
Vegas Girl 11-17-2003, 08:12 PM I don't remember Peter wrapping Marcia's diary.
He and Bobby buy and wrap up a new diary for Marcia after Cindy gives her old one away. (Desi Arnaz episode) Greg comes in and tells them that a new diary can't replace the old one and that she would have to begin a new life to go with the new diary.

I just came across this thread and it reminded me that in the Laverne & Shirley episode where Lenny and Squiggy move into their apartment building, they show they they sleep in bunk beds that are the same bunk beds used in the boys room.

Natalie1969 10-03-2021, 08:45 PM Gordy, a friend of Peter's in Alice Doesn't live Here Anymore and Double Parked; the building used as Fillmore Junior High on BB is used for Jefferson High on Happy Days. No surprise as both shows were shot on the same lot.
CosmicCharlie 10-04-2021, 10:02 PM Outside the Supermarket just in the parking lot there a 3 different 1968 Cutlass's seen and ALL 3 are the same color and placed strategically !
One is parked in the background by the light pole.
The Second drives by as they come out the market door.
And the Third is parked next to their station wagon.
Product Placement ?
I have a 1969 442
BestTVever 10-12-2021, 07:28 AM The wig that Alice wears on the commercial episode is the same wig that she wears when she dates her old flame who tries to scam her.
This is a fun thread :)
