if the seven people where just going on a three hr cruise and got shipwrecked then how did they have all the clothes, money, and all the other things they had on the island when they where shown coming onto the island they had nothing.?

I'll tell ya why. Okay. This is a fantasy show right? And almost all the people on the island are really greedy right? Well notice the people that aren't greedy (Gilligan, Skipper, proffesor) don't have a change of clothes? Do you kinda get my point?

Using a little imagination, the passengers arrived in town earlier in the morning, but the hotel told them their rooms would not be ready until 4:00 pm. The operator of the shuttle bus that brought them from the airport suggested the cruise as a way to pass the time. The skipper agreed to let them store all their luggage on the Minnow for the duration of the cruise. The plan was for the shuttle bus to pick them up after the cruise and return them to the hotel.
