Im wondering why Nick At Nite hasn't shown the pilot&first year? I figure it has something to do with that they were B&W to which i say so what! most classic TV is! Get with the program NickAt Nite! I (we?)want the B&W!!! same argument with The Beverly Hillbillies first couple B&W YEARS!!

Yeah! They've also done away with later episodes of Happy Days... what's up with that? I want to see the entire series, al in order. And when they're done running the entire series, then start running it again! The only time this pattern should be broken is during the holidays, when it is okay to package all the holiday-related episodes together.

I totally agree! I hate it when nick-at-nite does that! Write a note to nick-at-nite and let them know how you feel! I did the same! Do it like once a month to let them know you mean business.

All these years and I've never managed to see the pilot for Gilligan's Island, and I've been watching the show since the first run, what, 50 years ago.
Time to seek that out, perhaps grab the DVD season one volume.

If you've seen the Christmas episode Birds Gotta Fly, Fish Gotta Talk, you've seen some of it, the flashback shows scenes from the pilot, with the new footage adding the new actors/characters.

In the '90s, TBS actually ran the pilot. I believe that's the only time it was ever aired on television.
Sometimes other series would run the pilot as the first episode, despite the differences between it and the series. "Hogan's Heroes" and "Get Smart" are two that come to mind.
