Pamela Anderson, what a horrible thing to see first thing in the morning. Oh well, at least it isn't Anna Nicole Smith.
Leave it to TNN to have crappy schedules...
SBTB Geek 01-17-2003, 12:05 AM Ohh boy, that's very terrible.
dawsongirl 01-17-2003, 12:27 AM  What are the programmers smoking?? Whatever it is, I don't want it.
Robert Tilton 01-17-2003, 07:33 AM I think with the new "Television For Men" thing coming up, I would expect a lot of crummy men's shows, made for TV movies, that sort of thing.
My confession of the day:
The Brady Bunch is Righteous
And The New! TNN is Riotous
But with the new Television For Men
Maybe TNN will quit being so Clem.
But I doubt it.
Che qui (Who knows?)
AtlantaBravesFan29 01-17-2003, 09:22 AM How many Real TV episodes did they make??? What are they trying to do,make us memorize every episode???

I am not sure, I think 195 episodes, maybe more. I'm not sure.
Freakzilla 01-18-2003, 03:01 AM About TNN, I read something on the Magnum P.I. message board at A&E about TNN picking up Magnum. The person who posted the message said they had a friend who works for TNN. They also said that Magnum P.I. could be on as soon as next month. But I'll let Pavanbadal make the official announcement.
Now back to Real TV!

Interesting, I have not heard a word on this. I'll see what I can find on Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday. It could be possible, since they have way too much Real TV listed, or it could just be another rumor. I'll see what I can find.

You've got the one show I'm interested in. Toss in an episode of Beavis and Butthead, and that'll make me happy.
AtlantaBravesFan29 01-18-2003, 08:21 PM I sure would like to see Beavis and Butthead again!!! Hopefully when TNN gradually gets their Television For Men moniker going,we will get to see it again!!! Since they took it off of MTV,after the last episode and the reruns they aired,I've been missing it!!! It was one of my favorite shows, and still is!!! They have showed the Beavis and Butthead Do America movie on TNN,so why not show reruns of Beavis and Butthead???

I miss them too. :(
I've got a question. Sorry this gets kind of off topic. Okay, Daria was a spin off of Beavis and Butthead. Daria just ended on MTV. Did they take the show off immediately after the last episode? I think I seen in somebody's sig that another station would be making new episodes, but I'm just wondering if MTV took the show off immediately after the last ep.
AtlantaBravesFan29 01-18-2003, 09:31 PM I think they are showing Daria reruns on the Noggin Channel on weeknights as far as I know!!! Yeah, I miss that show too!!! It was also a very funny show!!! I liked the episode where she babysits the kids!!!

I used to watch Daria, but later on I could never catch the show. I remember the babysitting episode. I think Daria says she has to call her grandma to remind her to take her pills, but she calls Jane instead. Then she says something to Jane like, "It's time to take your damn pill, grandma." lol

Now back to Real TV!
According to A&E, they still have the rights to Magnum P.I. until the end of 2003 (Dec 31 2003). A&E might put it back on the schedule for a last run or something since they still have the rights. So I don't know how this TNN thing got started? Maybe TNN is picking it up for next winter--that's the only possible scenario.

No more Kids Say, Different Strokes, Three's Company!
Only one episode of TNG a day!
Copious amounts of reality TV.
MAD TV in a TERRIBLE timeslot.
No sitcoms. No toons.
TVJunkie101 02-21-2003, 01:50 PM 8 episodes of Real TV during the day. That is awful. This past schedule wasn't as bad, but it could have been MUCH better. This one is just awful.

TNN seriously need to cut down on this show, it has easily took over their schedule. I think this schedule can definately be improved, LOL.

I Know! I Honestly cant understand it. I Mean Channels do stupid things sometimes but this doesn't even make sence. Real TV is one of those things thats ok for one episode a day, But this is absolutely crazy. Are they just low on shows or something?
AtlantaBravesFan29 02-21-2003, 11:17 PM Boy,they sure have fallen on hard times there on TNN!!! 8 episodes a day of Real TV!!! What's so fascinating about a show that only lasted 2 seasons??? 50 or so episodes of Real TV a week, this way every month they run through the whole series.
Gee, I wonder if anyone has every episode of Real TV memorized.(LOL)

It's just weird. They must be low on shows. They still could mix it around a bit more. If they are that low on shows, mix it all around instead of having one big ass chunk consisting of nothing but Real TV.

Edit: I'm editing my post because I want to add something. I am so sick of seeing those Jesse ads for TNN. Ugh, those 2 guys in the commericials are so annoying. I'd just love to punch the hell out of them both. Argh, they irritate me and I just had to comment. Anybody else feel like punching them?

Note, this is NOTHING like the schedule that started on Feb 25, 2002, when they added A-Team, Diff'rent Strokes and Three's Company--what a difference a year makes.
Pav, I first observed the demise of TNN about 2 years back when they were showing Wonder Years, the summer of 2001 I believe. First thing I noticed: The Black Bar.
Ever since then I would read in newsgroups like rec.arts.tv, alt.tv.nick-at-nite, and a few others numerous complaints about that channel. It got so fascinating I'd comment every now and then. Right now, TNN is no more. The comments on the Usenet, going back to summer 2001, had become an essay on how bad a TV channel could go.
The top complaints were:
1: Black Bar
2: Lack of quality programming
Anyway, after my essay concerning the James Bond Marathon and what TNN did with it, I decided just to killfile the channel. The main offense, and I had to learn this from a rec.arts.tv user Dwayne Day, was that TNN was really NOT showing it uncut. That in addition to the other offenses.
Uh oh. Joseph Forte's playing for the Seattle Sonics.
Gotta run.
Harper49 02-22-2003, 12:52 AM And Still No Nashville Network For Good!
Chad22 02-22-2003, 12:55 AM I Didnt like the Nashville Network. I Liked TNN best 2001-2002 When they were showing good quality sitcoms like Diff'rent Strokes, Newhart, WKRP In Cincinatti, Etc. But to be honest, I Think i would rather see Hee Haw than 4 Hours in a row of Real TV. As i said earlier, The only thing i even watch TNN for anymore is WWE.

Yeah, I never watched it when it was the Nashville Network either. The 2001-2002 schedule was the best, imo. The only thing I watch on TNN is the original Star Trek movies. They show them every once in awhile and I suck up my feelings about TNN long enough to watch the movies. Other than that, I don't watch the station.
TVJunkie101 02-23-2003, 09:04 AM I rarely watched The Nashville Network either. I did watch Dallas pretty regularly, and a lot of the times Alice. But that was it.
Yeah, during the networks first transition, into the "We Got Pop" Phase was the best, WKPR, Wonder Years, Newhart, etc. If TNN wasn't heading in the way of Men TV (as a guy, I could care less, honestly) I WOULD HAVE liked it to be sort of an 80s network, you know, good 80s programming would have been nice (all the shows that N@N overlooked: One Day at a Time, Gimme a Break, Silver Spoons, 227, etc.), but that's probably not going to happen.
TNN is awful. I haven't watched the network since August 2002 when they took off Diff'rent Strokes. I refuse to even watch The A-Team on there, but at least the black bar seems to go good with the show, lol. I think Viacom needs to make up it's mind on what they want TNN to be.
8 episodes of Real TV a day is disgusting. 2 is way more than enough. I hate Kids Say.. but I would take that over Real TV anyday.
And has anyone watched Taboo? I was flipping through the channels, and decided "what the hell." It was the most awful "game show" (it shouldn't even be called that) I've ever seen. The host is awful and I HATE the promos for the show.
Enough ranting.

Oh yea. I hate that host! They need soeone who isn't braindead. I love the actual game, as in if you're playing with other people, cause it's really fun, lol. I was looking forward to the game show but was greatly dissapointed.
