As of this posting one person, Rainman, has 11 of the 50 subject posts on the board. IMO that's gluttonous, and pushes other people's subject posts down the board or onto page two before their time.

I have to say, I agree with you. I mean, if most of them were worth having on, it would be okay, but mostly they are weird. Sorry, but it's just my opinion.

I Dont Think its that bad, If someone has a post on the last page they want back they could just bump it up.

I have to admit...I've never heard of a Gluttonous Poster before.

I don't think Nate means harm with his posts. He's just a little bit...nevermind.

At one time TJ posted a request that people on the Chit Chat board not post more than a certain amount of posts per day. He was suggestiing a much, much smaller number than what Rainman has been generally doing.

How often does anyone even look at page two much less bump their own posts. Once a thread drops to page two it's chances of getting replies diminishes greatly. I'm making a suggestion for general consideration on the board. Not a reprimand of Rainman.

Yeah, most of his posts are kind of silly, and they do tend to push the more intellegent, thought provoking, posts down the crapper. Then again we see a lot of silly (I'm trying to refrain from saying stupid. OOPS THERE I SAID IT!) posts. There are far too many "random post" topics, and the like, to bore oneself to tears. Well, I guess everyone has the right to post whatever they like, just as you had the right to posted this.

Nate is a really nice guy, none of you give him any respect. Who cares if he posts alot?

I don’t dislike Rainman. This thread isn’t about Rainman. He just happens to be the biggest offender these days of the ‘Please don’t post too many subject posts’ rule that TJ tried to bring to our attention once. I’m not talking about replies to posts I’m talking about ‘Subject Posts’. So if you reply to this thread, please keep that in mind.

Rainman isnt exactly my best friend or anything, but Im sure he doesnt mean any harm making these threads..

I do make it a point to check all the pages, to see if any subjects of interest have been pushed back.

I guess some folks have more things ot chit chat about than others...

I guess it's a good and bad thing. Okay, you have a lot of useless posts that bump the good ones onto another page. That's bad.

Yet, you still have topics. I swear if some of the people that post a lot of topics on this board went away for a couple of days, this board wouldn't have hardly any new posts at all.

I do agree with those that say some of the posts could be put in one thread. Look at the Unofficial and Official Kmart closing posts. Why are they seperate? Why couldn't Nate have just went to the Unofficial thread and apologized for posting that and then posted the official list. Same thing goes for the 'I Hate Harry Potter' post. He could've found the HP thread going on that is still on page one and stated that he didn't particularly like HP.

You do understand that Karly was talking to you,not me, when she said to layoff, right? Rainman and some other people used to post oversized pictures and long sigs. Now he and they don't. At least not so much. So It is working. Besides I and anyone has a right to make a suggestion on the board without getting the lame rolleye routine.

ah whatever. He's a nice guy, and this board is usually dead and doesn't get that many new topics, his just liven the boards up more. Most of you are just grouping up on him and it's stupid, these posts aren't going to help at all anyways.

I know you were....and i wasn't im saying that it isn't going to help and it didn't...

I dont like rainman but i dont really despise him even tho hes kinda annoying. I think ppl were overreacting about his sig that 1 time cuz it wasnt even long and there were sigs longer than his and they all just bitched at him.
