Jody Dallas is one of my favorite characters. I loved the scene when he punched Dennis. In my opinion, Billy Crystal did a great job portraying that character.

Did Billy ever have any boyfriends on the show? Did he ever kiss another guy on the show? When i watched the show as a kid, i don't remember him having any boyfriends or kissing a guy on the show. Who is Dennis? Which mother is Billy Crystal's on the show?

I doubt they would show him kissing other guys on network tv back in the mid-70's. I'm sure the show would have been cancelled if that had happened.

Dennis was Jody's boyfriend when the show started. The night before Jody was supposed to have a sex-change operation, Dennis came by and dumped Jody for a woman. He tried to get Jody back in further episodes but Jody punched Dennis in the face cause he was talking trash about Carol, Jody's fiancee.

Mary Campbell, blonde married to Burt, is Jody's mom.

Jody was gonna marry Carol on the show? Who played Carol? Show me a picture of her. I thought he was gay? He tried to get a sex change to be a woman? LOL

LOL....Yeah, he was gay..He met Carol at Jessica's trial. Carol David was Mallou's assistant. Anyway, Carol tricked Jody into going away with her for the weekend, she made a pass at him, he got mad, she cried and he felt sorry for her and slept with her, she got pregnant and he offered to marry her. She left him at the alter and started dating cowboys and carnival employees.

I love this show. The character was supposed to be gay, yet he spent more time in the company of woman than men.

I believe that by the time the fourth season was around it was going to be established that he was a bisexual.

As for the other part, Billy made Jodie more likable by showing he was more than a flirt to the guys.

There was a lot of things back in the good ole days of tv where a thing called censorship made sure that the shows didn't push the envelope as they now do!! It's like "Oh, well, if he or she is gay!! What else is new??" these days!!
